Heres my deal; I know Im not saved...but I want to be. I've prayed for God to come into my life several times, but I never feel any change. I've always had good morals and try to keep the sins to a minimum, but I always feel theres something missing...and there is. I had others pray for me, I've talked with other Christians, but what am I doing wrong?

Is it that Im not really ready to give my life to Jesus and Im just trying to make myself beleive that Im ready???

Some have suggested Bible versus for me, but to be honest I really am not the best reader and no matter if I read the same verse 3 times I still have trouble understanding the meaning of it.

There is an obstacle that is keeping you from accepting the truth. There's ALWAYS an obstacle lol.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son to die for us. And he who believes in him shall never perish, but have everlasting life."

Sit comfortably. Clear your mind, and this is so important. You must put aside your natural pride, and humble yourself before God, while meditating on this passage, and asking him to reveal to you the Truth.

Don't forget to thank Him when He does :)

Another ?; this has always confused me, but if God created everything, then how was God created? Almost everytime I hear that question answered-God always existed-how is that so if everything else had to be created?

A long time ago, I heard a sermon from a very wise man that went something like the following:

Imagine if you will that you are a two-dimensional (flat) creature, that lives by floating on the surface of a puddle of water. You live there with a whole society of two-dimensional creatures, all going about your two-dimensional lives, when suddenly...

...a man walks into that puddle.

Everything comes to a halt, and everybody is talking about this event. How do you describe him to other people?

The only part of that being that you can understand is that part which intersects the surface of that puddle. You aren't designed to understand anything else above or below, therefore to you, it doesn't exist.

The height, breadth, and depth of God is so far beyond our understanding that the great majority of that which is God has never even been imagined in the wildest of dreams.

As finite beings, we can only understand the finite.

But understanding with your intelligence is a far far lesser thing...than believing with your wisdom. You are not required to understand. Only to believe.

Jesus loves you and if you have believed in Him then you are saved. I've struggled with the feelings of being unsaved for a while and I've come to find that everytime I have these feelings it's either because I've done something wrong or because I'm feeling some kind of change in the way God is dealing with me. If you have believed in Jesus then you are saved.
As to the other question, just think of the evolution theory for one minute. The scientists say that the world had a beginning called the big bang but they all agree that the atoms weren't just there to create that they had to be created. That is where evolution falls short. Even scientist if truly honest with themselves believe that there had to be an ultimate beginning that is what God is. The ultimate beginning and end. It's not a human concept so none of us will ever truly understand it with it's full intensity. Just keep away from agnosticism. If you believe in an ultimatum an ultimate beginning and end and you are a Christian then you believe that God made the world and that He has always been and always will be. Pray that God will clear your mind of the issue. We don't have to understand everything. Try to leave your beliefs as simple as possible and lean not on your own understanding. God understands it base your position on that other than on what you're unsure of. Just say God knows and I don't have to. Above all else though PRAY!
