When I have some time ill pull up some quotes from Hutton's publications on the theory of the earth.

Hutton learned early on, certain ways of reading the rocks, or understanding Gods creation, before others. Before his time, few studied or examined the earth and creation at large, in the way that he had.

And he truly was concerned, as his observations did run into conflict with interpretations of the early church. But he none the less, published his ideas, in confidence and in trust of the Lord, that this was and is God's creation, and that God would carry his message and truth, to His church.

And this is exactly what we see. 300 years have passed since the late 1700s when Hutton published his findings. And the power in his initial discoveries, since then have only gained traction.

Every person of the church should take time to understand Hutton's work and observations, before assuming it is work of satan.

I can't say for sure, because I'm not a doctor, but, I would bet that if you did an X-Ray of Adam, right after he was formed, he would have an adult skeleton, adult teeth and all adult features.

Well, the earth is the same. It may appear old, but it's not.

Not only that but this fact of old rocks does not equate to man being the result of evolution.

God has written a living epistle about Himself in creation........it is like those who study the bible in an effort to disprove it, and in the process some end up being converted to Christ.........because they discover that He is proved in the word/epistle.

So the issue of not only time, but the issue of randomness seem to be the two sticking points. One....scientists who are Christian reject the idea of randomness. I'm no scientist but am a believer and follower of Christ who believes He created all things by His express will and the word of His mouth. Two.....we have a God who says a day is as a thousand years to Him, and a thousand years is as a day. Hint: do some simple math. If I'm not mistaken, I ended up with 360 million years (based on biblical year of 360 days)....really that is an epoch. And possibly we could do the math for an eternity, not sure on that though, my poor mind can't deal with it, just thought i might have glimpsed that.

Common sense should make us wonder how there can be a literal day and a morning and evening when the sun hadn't even been put in place yet. Okay, we don't lean on our own understanding, fully agree, but it is the LORD who gives light to our poor understanding. In Genesis it says that God told the EARTH to bring forth herbs and plants, that the WATERS brought forth the fish and fowl, at the same time He said He created them, and that the EARTH brought forth the beasts and animals. I for one, believe His word, don't you...that the waters brought forth and that the earth brought forth. So then how could earth and waters bring forth hundreds and thousands of species of flora and fauna in a literal day? When I look at creation/nature - which teaches me about God - I see that is not ordinarily how He works on a day to day basis (pun intended).

Furthermore that the dust of this same EARTH is what Adam was made from. No wonder he was of the earth, earthy. Remember we are just talking about a physical body, not the person, his soul/spirit, which God afterward breathed into him. It's just like where it says a body was prepared for Jesus, just a body, a tent, a tabernacle to house the spirit, but which is going to turn back to dust (for most of us). But it strikes me as amazing how those words in Genesis agrees with the principle of evolution long before it was ever conceived of by man. The bodies of animals are made of the exact same materials as ours, and they turn back to dust the exact same way....hmmmmm.

And to let you know, that I have never discussed this before, I have been afraid to even think about it too much, and I would not bring this up with other believers unless I knew they had the same understanding. Not for me to cause division over something like this. But just that at some point, I want to give God the glory He is worthy of, not a trite view of Him, so I just found myself taking this opportunity, among the mature, not wanting to cause anyone to stumble....difficult in a public forum. But willing to take an honest look at the science and explore the possibility, IN LIGHT OF SCRIPTURE.

And let's look at the fruit....Kent Hovind.....google his name if you don't know his life.....and with what I have seen of the Lord exposing what christians have been following through the exposure of many church leaders in the last 20 years or so, to try and get His sheep to come out of what is not of Him......could He be trying to say that about what Kent Hovind was believing as well? He has been the foremost guru of "creation science", which I used to look at from time to time. I am having trouble believing that is all a coincidence.

Anyway, I will say no more about it, back to the cone of silence. Sorry I couldnt' bring anything more helpful about Adam and Eve, as per the OP's request. May the Lord bless and help all His people.....and GLORIFY His name, as that is what everything is for.

And yet, brother, it is the LORD who said that what may be known about Him can be seen in creation....? These are the last days, and it was God who said knowledge would increase as well. Not just that lies and deception would increase, but real knowledge too....? We know that some who are hostile to the gospel will try to twist knowledge to suit their ungodly agendas, but that doesn't mean that all knowledge is incorrect.

I don't doubt brother that you have more wisdom than me on many things, and I don't disagree with everything you are saying, on the contrary. However, some here are only calling God great, so great, in part because of what we seem to be seeing in what He has made and how He made it.

No, we don't exalt science and knowledge, fully agree with that too. But at the same time I hope you aren't seeing with your fallen eyes that the table or desktop you are sitting at, as being spherical in shape do you? And you do give away some filthy man-made lucre to the poor, and even use it to buy your own needs? And use math of your fallen mind to count the money....and we are all still wearing clothes. Seems to me the Lord is mindful that we are but flesh......some fallen things can be useful in the mercy of God, like science, just that we don't lean on it, that's all I'm trying to say......until one day we will be free of all that is fallen.

JAnd the Day of Christ, millennial rule of Christ, I hope will be much longer than one earth rotation on its axis, or that would seem like a very short victory parade considering all the trouble He went to and all that He is and all that He is worthy of. Going by the math (if it was correct and from the Lord), means the millennial reign will actually be much longer than a thousand years........which would be good because I always thought that seemed like too short a time somehow.
