LOL !

But getting off the name bit, do you think the 3 pronged repentance, baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit (penty style) is the way to go.

Should we encourage all 3.

cause if it ain't neccesary, who's gonna bother ?

Of course we must repent. Of course we get baptized. Of course we receive the Holy Spirit. However, when one looks at the REQUIREMENT for salvation, the REQUIREMENT is Faith in Jesus Christ. Once we have FAITH in Jesus Christ, the rest follows. Our water baptism is the result of our FAITH. We do it out of obedience. We repent of our sins because there isn't any way we can have FAITH in Jesus Christ and not repent. The very word repent means to turn away. We cannot turn to Christ without turning away from our sins.

IF we require water baptism, then what Christ did on the cross isn't enough AND we have put our faith in a religious ceremony. Remember, Abraham wasn't accounted righteous because he was circumcised, he was considered righteous with the LORD because of his FAITH and the circumcision was the sign of his FAITH. The same with water baptism.

The very definition of FAITH has to include repentance. If you don't repent from your sins, how can you have faith? But the FAITH isn't the repentance, it is the result of your FAITH.
