How many of your forces have been to Iraq/Afganistan?

I figure less active duty would have been to war zones.

Just wondering what percentage has been to the warzones?
Is it a majority?
Seems anyone I know in the military, has been either place.

My husband, who is active duty, has been to both places already, and he will be going back to Iraq in October. I assure you, the vast majority of Marines we know have gone at least once, most have gone at least twice, and we know one on his 5th tour. My husband has been in the Marine Corps for 13 years, all active.

The Commandant has said that every Marine will have to go at some point.

I got out of the national guard before I was in deployable status. I figure 5 tours in iraq are better left to others than myself, I like to crunch numbers sitting at a desk (and I emphisise sitting at a desk). There are a significant number of national guard that are deployed.

For the Marines that doesn't suprise me.

Your utter disregard for rules and authority speak so many volumes as to why you weren't able to cut it in the military.

Why you insist on coming in here and continuing to bother those of us who enjoy being part of the military family, warts and all, is so far beyond me at this point. Please leave us alone.

Sure, I know folks in all branches that have been deployed to one area of the world or the other. It doesn't really matter what branch. We all have a specific job to do.
