If Fox is "destroying" America then so is MSNBC. The ideologically unencumbered do not wind up hosting talking-head programs.
At least MSNBC can have a real old-school conservative on for three hours five days a week (with constant visits from Pat Buchanan). The only one who comes close to being destructive, related solely to tone, is Olbermann, and much of his ranting is related to Fox (although he has chided Obama, such as just yesterday regarding the ordered assassination of a suspected terrorist). MSNBC has an element of professionalism to it, and (believe it or not) is still constrained by the corporate hold which dictates what counts for news, and for this matter they're barely left leaning at most -- the show still follows the classic mainstream media pattern of being heavily pro-business, anti-social programming, and that isn't a program of liberalism or leftism, regardless of the supposed bleeding hearts of its nighttime opinionated commentators.
I agree, she argues from the intellectual point of view that is so strongly part of her core.not forgetting her at all. though ideologically defined, she doesn't take liberties with the truth and is adamant about inviting opposing views to come on the show with her. many are afraid to come on the show and confront her, as she doesn't allow for the answer intended to misdirect and she is prepared and on point. she is a very viable advisary to anyone coming on the show, and most avoid her. they can't handle the intellectual heat, though she never raises her voice or bullies anyone.

It is guilty of many of the same sins, but I don't know if it has gone gunning for particular organizations....yet.If Fox is "destroying" America then so is MSNBC. The ideologically unencumbered do not wind up hosting talking-head programs.
Sadly, she's what is being foisted off on us as a liberal intellectual. In her defense, she is a smidgen better than Dowd.Oh yeah, she's the postergirl for "intellectual".
....she is far brighter then Dowd.Sadly, she's what is being foisted off on us as a liberal intellectual. In her defense, she is a smidgen better than Dowd.
Actually those are not Maddow's quotes, but the quotes of someone I assume she had on the show. This is her quote, "I love your dark thoughts. We all love you for your dark thoughts."lulz, the Maddow quotes are pretty bad, yeah, but that's a typically two hour afternoon for Limbaugh, and a typical thirty seconds for Mark Levin.
I guess being on the "left" means "not wanting people to die -- quite as much."
The same Maddow who says that murdering abortion doctors is terrorism but shooting up american military bases isnt?
That Maddow?
Or the Maddow who says: "I love your dark thoughts. We all love you for your dark thoughts."
About the guy who said:
1. "The Republican Party needs to be executed as quickly as possible."
2. "I have a good news to report. Glenn Beck appears closer to suicide -- I'm hoping that he does it on camera."
3. "Cheney, by the way looks very ruddy; I couldn't get over that like he must have feasted on a Jewish baby, or a Muslim baby....that's what somebody like Cheney does to get that ruddy look."
4. "I hope he [Limbaugh] keeps going, because that means he will soon croak. Like I said, eventually, he will choke to death on his own throat fat."
5. "Rush Limbaugh is a bigger threat to this country than Osama bin Laden....Why isn't he arrested and sentenced for treason?"
6. "I used to have violence fantasies about Scott McClellan...All those feelings are being shifted now to Dana Perino, violence fantasies."
7. "Aw, Drudge, somebody ought to wrap a strong Republican entrail around his neck and hoist him up about six feet in the air and watch him bounce."
Oh yeah, she's the postergirl for "intellectual".
Wow....explosive.

The issue here is Fox News hosts manipulating information to mislead their audience. If you can provide an example of Maddow distorting the facts I would be glad to look at it but this is not a case of that.
On her MSNBC show last night, the left-wing Air America host Rachel Maddow took a swipe at the conservative Shirley & Banister Public Affairs firm, specifically President and CEO Craig Shirley. Maddow accused Shirley of being behind a grassroots Web site funded by the group Grassfire.org, based on a research provided by the independent watchdog group Public Citizen, and she showed still images from an incendiary Obama=Hitler video thats posted on the Grassfires ResistNet.com Web site.
But Maddow was wrong. The Public Citizen web page she cited is several years old. Shirley & Bannister hasnt represented Grassfire.org since 2004. And Diana Banister, a partner and Vice President at Shirley & Banister, told NewsBusters that Maddows false report has led to hate mail and even death threats to the public relations firm.

i challenge a good portion of these quotes. where did you find them so i can check on them?
