CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi WRussell - Welcome to the Christian Forums! Just ran across your message today and I am interested in what kind of accountability you are looking for, business, personal, etc...
I don't spent a lot of time on-line but, would like to have a friend/partner to correspond with. You can check out my profile, that's tells you a little about me also. As for business, I have been employed since 1974 in the same industry, worked from delivery driver to sales and management as well as owned my own company with a partner for seven years.

I have been searching all morning, possibly my whole life, for a strong Christian to help through encouragement, scriptural advice, and experience that I can help in return. I'm struggling with a few things that creep into my mind and lifestyle that seems to keeps me in a perpetual state of guilt and sometimes depression. I imagine that millions of Christians are the same way--that's why support is important! I feel, as many do, that our Lord is coming soon and I don't want to be a "spot or wrinkle," lukewarm, and tolerant of certain sins in my life. It's time for a change! This is a good place to find on-line friends and lots of discussions as well. I am fairly new here myself but, would be interested in discussing your proposition as I too would enjoy having someone for an on-line 'pal' and possibly accountability partner.I do agree that we are fast approaching the 'end times' and Jesus' coming is near. There are times when I think that I can almost feel it, I am sure I'm not alone in that regard also. I don't have friends I see very often and even the few I have are not particularly 'accountability' types. But, I would enjoy having a good e-mail friend to write to and discuss things with.

Two people have asked for an on-line accountability partner. I responded to both as I too would like to do the same. I also sent private mail with my home e-mail address.
As of today, the first one has been 7 weeks and the second two weeks and neither have responded to me in any form. All I will assume is that they really don't want someone to be accountable with and no one else seems to have posted anything so, this is more of a waste of time.
One should not bother to ask if you do not intend to follow through. It's just a waste of time....
