satan has NO power over those who have been gathered in and are seated in CHRIST, marked as belonging to HIM by HIS BLOOD and covered over and hidden in HIM in HIS COVERING...which, is as a WHITE SPOTLESS GARMENT, sir...

Not because we are white apart from HIM, but because by, through and because of HIM we are washed and made white/righteous in the eyes of GOD...

GOD, when HE looks upon those who have believed, HE sees HIS SON´S COVERING...

We are hidden in HIM, HE is THE REFUGE.

Remember the exodus, and the marking of the houses?
GOD knows our limited humanity...HE knows we need signs and pictures and symbols and visible things to understand the invisible spiritual hidden things of GOD...and HE graciously provided sign upon sign pointing to THE TRUTH from the beginning....

I wish I could be clear that all along and throughout GOD´S WRITTEN WORD it is a testimony of JESUS...a picture and a parallel and a puzzle pointing all men to all the HIDDEN TRUTHS of GOD´S WORD found in HIS SON...

Sure. But I was responding to Dr. Shermer's claim of "religions predating Christianity that also had a redeemer-God" and such. That field of study is historical, not scientific. It's the realm of scholars, not scientists.

ah thank you, I was still stuck in my German definition of science.
But citing from his bio:
Dr. Shermer received his B.A. in psychology from Pepperdine University, M.A. in experimental psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and his Ph.D. in the history of science from Claremont Graduate University.

It seems to be a brilliant man in this field. I like his facebook stuff.
I just happen to not agree with him about his claims that there is no God just because there are other explanations for religion around that all seem to make perfect sense, too.

Salvation sir...the lamb which GOD has accepted for the sins of the world...and anyone who comes to HIM through faith in HIS SACRIFICE can come before the throne of GOD, washed and covered in the RIGHT COVERING

There was always a need for the right vestments, and as it is written, no one could approach the throne on ¨steps¨ lest they be found uncovered....
