I don't think so! Past news reporting says otherwise especially with Trump and any serious Republican candidate who threatens a major Democratic politician in office or running a campaign. Besides this you got how protestors are treated especially folks on Jan 6 treated vs. everybody else "mostly peaceful protesting".

And Trump is a huge stumbling block to them in gaining ground in that agenda. We have witnessed that anything flies if its against Trump. But non of it seems to truly stick that could land Trump in jail except in their own minds.

You know that Tim Pool et al said she was talking about “blowing it up” with emails, right? They didn’t claim she meant violence. The whole bit was about taking it out of context.

But if you dig into the cultural context of the early 1980's in which the album was released, it becomes apparent that the song is really a socialist anthem warning us of the pitfalls of unfettered capitalism. The main character is a beautiful woman who, through her professional endeavors, steers us away from the endless rat race and towards the warm, red guiding light of communism. Who fits that description better than AOC? If this were an apologetics class, folks would be treating her as the fulfillment of this 40yo prophecy.

Just like the Right always does. I'll agree, if either side wants to make a big deal out of word choice in a phrase, they should provide context -- at least the paragraph where they stated it.

But you don't see the right impeaching, closing social media accounts, and threatening to incarcerate democrats because of word choices who's meaning were obvious. #fightlikehell

The point of the video, if you even watched it, was not about what AOC said. Because her intentions were obvious. It was about the hypocrisy and blatant double standard the left places on speech. The right is always out to get you. The left, "Oh you know what they meant. Stop taking things out of context."
