AOC: ‘I thought I was going to die’ in Capitol siege
ep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she feared “white supremacist” colleagues would put her in harm’s way during the siege of the Capitol and other House Democrats suggested the rioters had inside help from members of Congress.

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez said she thought she was going to die at one point and that it wasn’t an exaggeration to say that many members of the House were nearly assassinated.

She didn’t feel safe going to an “extraction point” because of “QAnon and white supremacist sympathizers,” she said.

“And, frankly, white supremacist members of Congress in that extraction point who I know and who I have felt would disclose my location, who would create opportunities to allow me to be hurt, kidnapped etcetera,” the New York Democrat said this week on Instagram Live. “And so I didn’t even feel safe around other members of Congress.”

Her office did not respond to questions on which members she was referring to or whether she’s referred her complaints to law enforcement.

This woman is vile in character.
I don’t understand. Her being afraid when the Insurrectionist where booting their way into the building when Republican officials were using social media to mark the location of people who have taken a stand against Mr Trump is pretty scary.

You not liking her does not minimise the threat to her and her colleagues.

You can look into her political history and uncover my reasoning. Her entire career has been built around placing threats towards others, encouraging riots, and promoting radical political reform in favor of a socialist agenda. She is one of the most radicalized politicians in modern politics, and has expressed an inherent distaste and even blatant hatred of White Americans ever since her entrance into New York's political system.

Here, it is evident that she is continuing her vendetta against White Americans, and her distaste is there for everyone to see. She is making claims and accusations that are simply not true. As a result of her lies, the sheep will be confused and scattered. Anyone who sees politicians like her and hundreds of others as authoritative figures, only do themselves injustice in their pursuit of guidance and truth.

Politics is an inherently broken system. As we've distanced from the laws of Deuteronomy, we've created increasingly fallible societies. I encourage Christians to look towards God for guidance instead, and to permanently disconnect themselves from the political kraken.

There's 435 members in the House, ... some fairly new and openly supportive of QAnon ... and other conspiracies.

Not trusting certain ones of them with my life ... is not at all unreasonable.

In a body that large, I would seek to determine whom I felt I could trust ... and who I felt that I couldn't.

Let's face it. Noone thought that protestors would turn into ... or turn out to be insurrectionists. Noone thought that insurrectionists would be able to make their way into and, frankly, throughout the Capitol building ... on such a momentous day. The events playing out were surreal.

Also, it is likely that none of us ... have received the kind of threats and missives that Congress-people have been seeing this past year, with all the partisanship we've experienced. I'm sure that AOC, and Nancy, and even Pence, and now McConnell and others ... have all received the vilest of communiques ... of what some of their fellow Americans would like to do to them ... if given the opportunity.

Finally, none of us were there, when, in the midst of conducting one of the nation's most solemn duties, ... Congress-people were informed that the enemies were at the gates ... and had broken through, ... that they needed to take gas masks and find shelter as they could, some huddling in hiding in the chambers, while others were gotten out into safer areas of the building. None of us HEARD the repeated pounding upon the doors of the chambers, none of us heard the glass breaking, the timbers straining and crying under the onslaught that was sure to make entry.

I can understand why, in the midst of such an event, one might wonder who they could trust to guide them.

The truth is that there should have been a known and practiced evacuation plan in place ... so that they wouldn't have to wonder about placing trust for their lives ... in the hands of their fellows ...

I think you need to go back and read what she said. Calling Congressmen White Supremacists without any evidence is simply irresponsible and should be censured for conduct unbecoming.

May I suggest ... that she, likely, knows her colleagues ... better than you.

She didn't suggest this of all ... or even of the majority of her colleagues, ... just a select few ...

and that is supposed to make it acceptable to call people elected to office who enjoy the public trust white supremacist? What have our values come to, is it now ok to say anything about any one without taking any responsibility?

That makes not difference, she said they were Congressmen, as she has said when she criticized others for their statements, words have consequences. She needs to be accountable for those statements.

Okay. Let those she specifically labelled as white supremacists sue her for slander.

-- A2SG, oh wait, she didn't specifically label anyone that, did she?

A Colorado Republican tweeted about Pelosi’s location during the Capitol siege. She’s now facing calls to resign - The Boston Globe

"In response to Boebert’s tweets, Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz said late Monday that lawmakers “were specifically instructed by those protecting us not to tell anyone, including our family, where exactly we were, for reasons that remain obvious.”

That does not allow people to make statements to defame someone without being responsible for them. Additionally AOC needs to follow the rules that govern appropriate conduct for Congressmen. It is past time for her to be called to account for her many inappropriate statements.

Do you feel the same about Trumps name-calling?
