  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

if you are suggesting i am under satan then you may want to check the rules of this forum very quickly. there are many things i will tolerate, but you are crossing the line. i am an ordained minister, if that has any bearing on this discussion.
why did you not answer my post? never mind. i know why.

Even ministers can be mislead, and that is exactly what that verse is about Rev B.

Anybody can be a minister.

For $29.95 anybody here can become a minister.

A good minister knows that he is not above instructrion and reproof.

The Lord walks among His churches (Rev 1:9 - 2:1). He calls the sensible to remember how they have fallen, to repent, and to do the first works (Rev 2:5). If they refuse, He will come quickly and remove a church's candlestick or a sinner's life (Rev 2:20-23).

Deuteronomy 4:9
9Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
(Ps 36:1-4).

Well, then let me do that for you right now.

is it reasonable to think that everyone is wrong except you?

Jesus thought so. According to Jesus, God's standard of righteousness applies to the motivations of the heart and transcends the self-justifying standard of behavior, including that of the folks that often consider themselves in the right, and so they gang up on the few who stand for true righteousness. Jesus spoke of this regarding the Pharisee's believing they were right and the laws were more right than God Himself (who sent the Lord). If you want to read more about it, then just get out your bible and look to Matthew chapters 4-6.

Are you equating yourself to Jesus now?

adiya,
you have decided to continue on your path of not addressing the issue which is your misreading of several posts. if i were you i like to think i would be big enough to see i had made a mistake, but pride is a devilish sin, is it not? you might go back and read the scriptures you have quoted to avoid talking about the subject that is in play. they apply nicely to your behavior on this thread. i think most of the people trying to be civil to you are Christians who are reaching out in love to save you from further embarrassment. i am sorry you can not receive them in love. my pity goes out to you, and my prayers.

The Lord rebuke you!

But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Jude 1:9

yes, all i have left is prayer.
may the Lord calm your heart and clear your mind.

May the God of Heaven reach down and touch your spirit, causing blind eyes to open, and deaf ears to hear. In the name of the Savior, Jesus, Amen.

Henceforth, my suggestion is that you take further condemnation of me to a private message. For it is a bad example of Christ's love, to do otherwise.

You need to stop your condescending "I'll pray for you" BS because it's not making you look like a good Christian at all. It's making you look like a person with a lot of undue pride and a hard heart.

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand. :prayer:

i think i remained civil while you accused me of being satan's spawn. i would be happy to hear other peoples takes on this, as this has become surreal to me. the poster has said you misunderstood their post. this is just silly adiya. why is there absolutely noone that sees it like you do, including the people who would presumably be experts on the intent of what they wrote? it must be very lonely to be the only one that has been imbued with the truth. do not use scripture to cover your own failings. it is a great disservice to the Word.

Proverbs 18

1 An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends;
he defies all sound judgment.
2 A fool finds no pleasure in understanding
but delights in airing his own opinions.
3 When wickedness comes, so does contempt,
and with shame comes disgrace.
4 The words of a man's mouth are deep waters,
but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.
5 It is not good to be partial to the wicked
or to deprive the innocent of justice.
6 A fool's lips bring him strife,
and his mouth invites a beating.
7 A fool's mouth is his undoing,
and his lips are a snare to his soul.
8 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;
they go down to a man's inmost parts.
9 One who is slack in his work
is brother to one who destroys.
10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.
11 The wealth of the rich is their fortified city;
they imagine it an unscalable wall.
12 Before his downfall a man's heart is proud,
but humility comes before honor.
13 He who answers before listening—
that is his folly and his shame.
14 A man's spirit sustains him in sickness,
but a crushed spirit who can bear?
15 The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge;
the ears of the wise seek it out.
16 A gift opens the way for the giver
and ushers him into the presence of the great.
17 The first to present his case seems right,
till another comes forward and questions him.
18 Casting the lot settles disputes
and keeps strong opponents apart.
19 An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city,
and disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel.
20 From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled;
with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied.
21 The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
22 He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the LORD.
23 A poor man pleads for mercy,
but a rich man answers harshly.
24 A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

From the verses you quoted, I found some that will be helpful to you:

1 An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends;
he defies all sound judgment.

2 A fool finds no pleasure in understanding
but delights in airing his own opinions.

6 A fool's lips bring him strife,
and his mouth invites a beating.
7 A fool's mouth is his undoing,
and his lips are a snare to his soul.

12 Before his downfall a man's heart is proud,
but humility comes before honor.
13 He who answers before listening—
that is his folly and his shame.

you will notice that although Jesus quoted scripture, the majority of his conversations were from his own mouth. you might try addressing ANYTHING that is directed at you like a human might. we are all delighted with your skill with the Word, but would rather try to understand what you were thinking when you read the posts we are talking about. justify your own opinion. these answers are not in hebrews or ephesians. only you know them. i think you do, and that is why you will not respond.

Hebrews 12

1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
5And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye *******s, and not sons.
9Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
18For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
20(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake
22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
25See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29For our God is a consuming fire.
