No.I agree with your comment above, however, would you then concede that the comment below is false?
Are you a man?No.
Okay, okay. Maybe somewhere in America there is one guy who accepted responsibility for something. But it probably wasn't something really bad.
Yep.Are you a man?
Have you ever accepted responsibility for anything? Like the responsibilities of a husband for example?Yep.
And with no qualifications. One hundred percent. I'm just willing to give credit where it is due.
For a short while I was a fireman in a rural fire district. There were people I would willingly follow into a fire. Some were men, some were women. There were people I wouldn't willingly follow into a fire. Some were men some were women.
The reality is that both sexes are capable of doing great things. The trick is knowing which ones to follow.
Oh yeah. When M'Lady turned up pregnant after we had already decided to be childless, she decided to not get an abortion. I supported her completely and we currently have a daughter who I consider to be the single best human being I've ever had the pleasure to know.Have you ever accepted responsibility for anything? So when you said:Oh yeah. When M'Lady turned up pregnant after we had already decided to be childless, she decided to not get an abortion. I supported her completely and we currently have a daughter who I consider to be the single best human being I've ever had the pleasure to know.
You obviously must have been referring to yourself...right?Okay, okay. Maybe somewhere in America there is one guy who accepted responsibility for something. But it probably wasn't something really bad.
Nope. I've lived a truly blessed life.So when you said:
You obviously must have been referring to yourself...right?
Let me get this straight, you are saying that you have never accepted responsibility because you are a privileged white male? If you want to wallow in your self created "white shame" that is on you. But speak for yourself and dont make blanket statements about all men, to include Hispanic men like myself, being incapable of responsibility.Nope. I've lived a truly blessed life.
But then I'm a white male. Living a blessed life is what we expect. There are others in America who have accepted far greater burdens than I have.

Am I the only one who finds a similarity between playing sports on video games instead of going out in the fresh air and getting some exercise...
Blood from a stone and all that in many cases. So because it is "men's fault" that a woman gets pregnant, wouldn't it seem more logical to make laws requiring men to support their child and its mother rather than killing the baby?
Blood from a stone and all that in many cases.
Extending the current attempts to throw doctors in jail, why not prison time or the death penalty for the men who are responsible for a woman having an abortion? Makes as much sense.
Yeah, kinda my point when I said "makes as much sense".How does it make any kind of sense to make someone responsible for something they're not responsible for?
Completely absurd. That's also why the refrain, "take away their right to welfare if they have more kids" is absurd as well. Humans just don't think about the effects of their desires on other people, and creating laws to address this lack of thought are simply bound to failure. It's a failure to understand that realization of effects happen only after the fact of their happening. If we want to bring change, we need to work with what we know about human nature. If you can't change the desire to have sex, but don't want to deal with the possible outcomes, then free and encouraged birth control should become the approved, lawful norm, not the distasteful "second best" solution.Wait, are you actually suggesting that abstinence prevents unwanted pregnancy? How absurd is that?
I left out a “not” in my post. I corrected it. Thanks for catching it.The human brain isn't fully developed until around age 25....so teenagers no not have a fully developed neurological system.

We have laws requiring men support their children but men are allowed to get away with it in many cases. Perhaps public brutal punishment would be a deterrent. So because it is "men's fault" that a woman gets pregnant, wouldn't it seem more logical to make laws requiring men to support their child and its mother rather than killing the baby?
Survival of the so-called fittest. It is logical, but one must remember it is men making the laws.
<shrug> Us men never voluntarily accept responsibility for anything. I think it is a law of the jungle.
So because it is "men's fault" that a woman gets pregnant, wouldn't it seem more logical to make laws requiring men to support their child and its mother rather than killing the baby?
