In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. No, not if you got Holy Place, SPOKE OF DANIEL THE PROPHET, right. It requires understanding, wisdom to know what Christ talked about SPIRITUALLY. It is not something you can pick up a history book and claim that the holy was was a physical Jewish temple. Daniel wrote about it in chapter 9 - the 70th week.

Understanding where the "holy place" is that Jesus referred to from the Book of Daniel is easy, since the ending of sacrifices and placing of an abomination instead that defiles the temple ("sanctuary") is the subject...

Dan 11:31
31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

KJV

Trying to go outside the simplicity of that Scripture wreaks of men with agendas outside God's Word.

Thus there was no New Covenant/Testament week while Christ was alive, as it only came into effect AFTER Christ died.

Remember that Christ commanded below that his disciples take the Gospel first to Daniel's people and not to the Gentiles during his 3 1/2 year earthly ministry, before Calvary.

Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

After Calvary they were given the Great Commission to take the Gospel to the whole world.

The temple veil was ripped in half during the middle of the week, revealing that God was through with animal sacrifices. This is found in Daniel 9:27.

Based on Galatians 1:14-18 Paul did not begin his ministry to the Gentiles until about 3 years after his conversion.
Therefore the Gospel was taken to Daniel's people for at least 7 years before Paul began his ministry to Gentiles.

The following comes from the 1599 Geneva Bible, which is the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America.

.............................................................................

Dan 9:27 And he shal confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate.

Daniel 9:27

And he (a) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to (b) cease, (c) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

(a) By the preaching of the Gospel he affirmed his promise, first to the Jews, and after to the Gentiles.

(b) Christ accomplished this by his death and resurrection.

(c) Meaning that Jerusalem and the sanctuary would be utterly destroyed because of their rebellion against God, and their idolatry: or as some read, that the plague will be so great, that they will all be astonished at them.

...............................................................................

Since no one has experienced both, comparison is impossible. But the suffering and anguish which were unique to AD 70 have never been surpassed.

Was anyone cannibalizing their children during the Holocaust?
Who wrote they did this?

Josephus was the Roman propagandist, sorta like Hitlers Joseph Goebbels.

Jewish born "Yoseph Ben Matittyahu" changed his name to "Titus Flavius Josephus"

He was a Traitor to the Jewish People, Was a Translator for Titus during the destruction of Jerusalem, Hung out with Roman nobility.

The Emperors broght him multiple slave girls to marry, He had lavish estates in Judea provided by the Emperors, Non-Christian.

My study finds he was a propaganda General for the Roman Emperors.

His history in in question by many, as make believe in tall tales.

And what did your study reveal about his comparison of the historical record to other sources, like the Bible?

And how much of the writings of Josephus did you read yourself?

Has anyone ever accused you of being a "propagandist" for the Amill doctrine?

Some of my ancestors were German. Does that mean I am a bad person?

Did you find out today that the writings of Josephus disagree with some of what you believe, and in just a few hours time have you have done your best to discredit his writings, without reading any of them yourself or doing a thorough job of finding out what Bible scholars know about the history recorded by Josephus ?

Being human, he certainly wasn't infallible.

But even if his accounts are only half accurate, and they almost certainly are, then they are sufficiently credible and compelling.

Some commentary from his own kind.

Remember that Christ commanded below that his disciples take the Gospel first to Daniel's people and not to the Gentiles during his 3 1/2 year earthly ministry, before Calvary.

Daniel 9:24
  • "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy."
The 70 weeks are determined upon "thy people." The question is, who is Daniel's people? We need to go no further than the preceding verses

Dan 9:20
[20] And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

Daniel was praying and confessing the sins of himself and "His People, Israel. But the question is which Israel? Is it National Israel, the Jews or Covenant Israel making up of all Jews and Gentiles in Christ?

Then God goes on to declare the PURPOSE of these 70weeks prophesied and determined upon Israel which are:
  1. How is it determined to "finish (restrain) the transgression?"
  2. What is the, "make an end" (sealing up) of Sins?
  3. What is the, "making reconciliation" for iniquity?
  4. How is this "Everlasting Righteousness" brought in?
  5. Why is it determined to "Seal up the vision and the prophet?"
  6. What is the "Anointing of the Most Holy?"
So obviously, the 70 weeks were not limited to the Jews which many people thought was Daniel's people. Isn't Daniel, David, Elijah, etc. of old testament also our people in Christ? This is who 70 weeks are for! The answer is Daniel's people is not strictly Jews and the holy city is not a physical city of Jerusalem, but Jerusalem from above who is a mother of us all.

We were ALL the lost sheep of the house of israel for whom Christ came, and for whom Christ died. Christ came to Israel first, and then afterward the dispensation to the Gentiles. That both might find salvation.

Matthew 15:24
  • "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
The Prophesied Messiah came to Israel to restore the sheep to the fold, and most of the nation of Israel rejected Him. Giving the ordained opportunity for salvation to go to the nations or Gentiles also. So now the remnant of the nation Israel and the remnant of nations (Gentiles) are all reconciled to God under one Israel, which is in Christ. They are ALL His lost sheep, gathered into one fold, and collectively make up the true Israel of God, the body of Christ. Selah!

The lost sheep of the house of Israel means they're of the house, just lost. Quite like the prodigal son. However, the dogs and swine are every Godless heathens or Gentiles that is outside the camp of the saints as an army of hate against Christ. There were some Gentiles, like us before we were born again, who are actually part of the Lost sheep who are blessed and who hunger for righteousness, and whom God calls. Everyone who becomes a Christian is called and Chosen of God as Lost Sheep and Daniel's people!

After Calvary they were given the Great Commission to take the Gospel to the whole world.

Yes, the great commission was actually taking the Gospel to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel which there were many some Gentiles were in God's eyes, who became spiritually Jews, like we are today! The rest of the Gentiles who were NOT chosen by God are still Gentiles or heathen.

The temple veil was ripped in half during the middle of the week, revealing that God was through with animal sacrifices. This is found in Daniel 9:27.

This is not what the midst of the week Christ talked about. This has nothing to do with tearing of temple's veil, physical temple or animal sacrifice, but after Christ has finished sealing His people and the testimony of Two Witnesses is finished prior to Second Coming.

Based on Galatians 1:14-18 Paul did not begin his ministry to the Gentiles until about 3 years after his conversion.

So? Peter beat Paul to the Gentiles. Read all about it in Acts 10 and the rest of the apostles' reactions in Acts 11. Gentiles were already getting saved before Paul even started his ministry!

Therefore the Gospel was taken to Daniel's people for at least 7 years before Paul began his ministry to Gentiles.

Again, Daniel's people were not strictly Jews or "Old Testament Jews." We are all Daniel's people in Christ. One Covenant Israel Tree! Therefore, we are all the Lost sheeps of the House of Israel, more specifically, COVENANT ISRAEL! The old testament Israel or national Israel was only a part of it as a kingdom representative before it was taken from them and gave to the New Testament congregation, the lost sheep of the house of Israel continued into the New Testament to include the Gentiles chosen to be part of Commonwealth of Israel, Daniel's people!

Trying to go outside the simplicity of that Scripture wreaks of men with agendas outside God's Word.

Dan 11:31-34
  • And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
  • And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
  • And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
  • Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
Daniel 11 is talking about the end time when there is an apostasy in the New Testament congregation of Israel (Church) where Satan works through the doctrines of Men. Their doctrines "ARE" the flatteries which are abominations that maketh the church desolate. It is the abominations that make God's Sanctuary desolation and pay attention to this, it is GOD Himself who brings it to desolation by bringing the armies of false prophets and christs into His congregation as a tool of judgment.

Jeremiah 6:8-10
  • "Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.
  • Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.
  • To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it."
Will the Lord God make His house desolate because of her abominations? Yes, per Daniel 9:26, it is Christ Himself who has made the unfaithful church desolate as a judgment prior to Second Coming because these people in the church do not love the truth but fell into flatteries that came out of false prophets and christs and have agreed to give their kingdom (church) to the beast where Satan can rule through them!

You better believe it! Becuase I know there are some people who are busy looking for the king of Daniel 11 by making claims that he is Antiochus or future antichrist based on their private interpretations that the sanctuary being polluted must refer to a physical Jewish Temple. No, The sanctuary in Daniel 11 is the body of Christ, and according to the context of the passage which spoke about the time of the end. She is indeed the unfaithful New Testament congregation of Israel.

Everyone here can say it takes wisdom to correctly understand the Bible.

For example:

Revelation 17:9
  • "And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth."
The mind that hath wisdom is the mind of Christ, and we have that mind (1st Corinthians 2:16) by the Spirit of Christ through the word. It's not with a double mind, but the one with clear, rational, comparative logical thought. That gives an understanding that only this mind and Spirit can give.

There is the desolation of the temple in Daniel 8:13 which that vision is stated in the text to be end times. By the little horn person. Who is not Jesus.

Actually, it is Jesus Christ who is in control. He loosened Satan. He instructed him to harm only those without a seal of God. He gathers Satan's armies of false prophets and christs (eg. Gog and Magog) and bring to mountains of Israel (kingdom of Isreal - Church). It is Christ who set a time how long Satan will have full power for a little season which is what little horn signifies. So yes, it is Christ who has caused sacrifice for salvation to cease, and allowed abominations to grow in His unfaithful church where people will believe a lie which makes their church desolate (spiritually naked without True Gospel).

None of the Apostles referenced Daniel 9:26 the confirming of the covenant to be a reference to the "new" covenant in Christ. Which for your view to be right, given the magnitude of Daniel 9:26b-27 they would have surely made a point of it. But they did not.

Of course, you do not see it because you did not have spiritual ears to hear. God has clearly explained how the covenant (testament) be confirmed which is the death of Christ, Read about it in Hebrew 9:15-19.
No, they are literal days. And can be fitted into the 7 years timeline.

Which is, of course, man-made theories to fit their carnal doctrine. There is no such thing as 7 years great tribulation.

In Revelation 11:2, it is 42 months.

Spiritually speaking.

In Revelation 11:3, it is 1260 days.

Spiritually speaking.

If those two are equivalents - then why in one verse 42 months and the very next verse 1260 days? The reason is they are not exact equivalents
.

Rev 11:1-3
[1] And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
[2] But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
[3] And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

The 42 months period is a symbol period of time when the Beast would comes out of bottomless pit and deceive the professed Christian to silence (kill) the testimony of Two Witnesses. Consider wisely:

Rev 11:7-8
[7] And when they [two witnesses] shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
[8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Rev 13:4-6
[4] And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
[5] And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
[6] And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

The beast is attacking God's tabernacle here where Two Witnesses resides. The "42 months" is actually the "little Horn" which represents Satan's power to rule through his body of false prophets and christs (beast) for a short season. Through their false doctrines, Satan blasphemy against God, His Tabernacles, and His Saints!

All of the timeframes expressed are literal - none are symbolic.

Sorry, nope. Not going to fulfill the way you expect the timeframes would be.

Of course, you do not see it because you did not have spiritual ears to hear.
A statement like that doesn't mean anything because everyone here can say the same thing regarding the other person(s) they disagree with. I think the same thing about you - that you do not understand spiritual matters. I am absolutely certain of it.

Which is, of course, man-made theories to fit their carnal doctrine. There is no such thing as 7 years great tribulation.
Which your view is a man-made theory - not only that but is coming from the other side - which there is no text in the New Testament by the apostles of Jesus having confirmed the Daniel 9:27 covenant for 7 years. Your view is no matter what the text says - make up anything you want that has a lofty ring to it. And then proclaim everyone else does not have spiritual understanding.... which most here don't have understanding from the spirit you are leaning on... that part is at least true.
Spiritually speaking.
....see what I mean.

And I don't say a 7 years great tribulation. The 70th week for most of the first half of it - are not tribulation, because the world will be saying peace and safety.

The great tribulation begins when the abomination of desolation is setup to be worshiped which begins on day 1185 of the seven years - and 1335 days later Jesus returns to this earth from heaven.

Again, Daniel's people were not strictly Jews or "Old Testament Jews." We are all Daniel's people in Christ.

Yes and no.

We cannot ignore what Christ said below.
He specifically told the twelve not to go to the Gentiles or Samaritans, at that time.

When the Church first began it was made up almost entirely of Israelites.
The Gentiles were grafted in later.

Now we are all Daniel's people.
The proof of the change is found below in the words of Peter

1Pe 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

This is confirmed below by the words of Christ.

Joh 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Based on the scripture found above, we cannot ignore the fact that when the Church began on the Day of Pentecost almost all of its members were ethnic Israelites.

I disagree dougg, you have the abomination at day 1185 then you have the second coming at 1335 days later?

No man knows the day or hour of the Lords return, Harold Camping, Ellen G. White, Charles Taze Russel "JW'S, on and on have tried to formulate exact times of the second coming.

All of those examples are of people who have tried to predict the year, and sometimes the day of Jesus's return - without experiencing the day the Antichrist confirms the covenant with many for 7 years. No-one knows that day - and conversely the day Jesus returns.

And even so, after the seven years begin, no-one knows the day nor hour - when the Antichrist goes into the temple sits and claims to be God - triggering the Day of Lord. There is not enough information given to determine that day on the 7 year timeline. The rapture must take place sometime before the Day of the Lord begins.

No-one knows the day nor hour of the rapture, at anytime. Until the very second it takes place.

However, when the Antichrist confirms the covenant for 7 years - 2520 days later Jesus will return to this earth from heaven - as every eye sees him, coming in great power and glory - which He will execute judgment on them gathered to make war on him. They see the sign of man in heaven, first, in Matthew 24:30. Jesus appearing in heaven is that sign.

Regarding the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, near the end of the 7 years, the events of the sixth seal takes place - and everyone will see Jesus before the throne of God, the day of the wrath of the Lamb come, and his imminent judgement on the wicked. The parting of the cosmos will take place like a thief to the wicked of the world...who will have already moved their armies into the middle east in Daniel 11:40-44 preliminary to the appearance of the Son of Man in heaven.

Seeing Jesus in heaven, they will assemble their armies at Armageddon in hopes to stop His judgment on him....

Psalms2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Let read the context:

Mat 10:1-7
[1] And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
[2] Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
[3] Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
[4] Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
[5] These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
[6] But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
[7] And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

You need to realize that Jesus instructed His Twelve BEFORE He went to the cross and Pentecost. The command for the Twelve to not go in the way of the Gentiles YET is a directive BEFORE the cross. Why, because it is to the Jew first, the Jews of the Old Testament Congregation is still Christ's body before He went to the Cross, and it is also has a spiritual connotation of not casting pearls before swine as far as Gentiles (as dogs and pigs) are concerned. The second is a directive to the church that would be AFTER Christ's death, illustrating an international salvation program, SPIRITUALLY the true Israel of God, including some Gentiles that can be considered as Lost Sheep of the House of Israel.

Now, after Christ went to the Cross, He gave the instruction to His Eleven (now with Judas out of the picture):

Mat 28:16-20
[16] Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
[17] And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

This is the command to the Eleven instructing them IN THE NEW TESTAMENT DISPENSATION, and it is still the same command to go forth to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel. Under Christ, they first went to the Jews, but the directive for them AFTER His death, is the second dispensation, to the Gentiles.

When the Church first began it was made up almost entirely of Israelites. The Gentiles were grafted in later.

The congregation of Israel started with the Jews first in the Old Testament, and then the Gentiles second in the New Testament where they could be grafted in the same covenant tree Israel, Daniel's people!

Now we are all Daniel's people.

Of course. You see, the 70th week was about Daniel's people. It was not limited to the Jews only, but also the Gentiles as the final week extended into the New Testament period. It is about people, Christ's body, New Jersusalem (Holy City). Not a prophecies about earthly physical city and sacrifices.

Let read the context:

Mat 10:1-7
[1] And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
[2] Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
[3] Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

If the first 483 years of the 70 weeks were literal, and they were based on history and Acts 10:38 and Hebrews 10:6-18, then the last 7 years was also literal.
It ended during the first century.

None of the apostles wrote that the new covenant in Christ is the covenant confirmed for 7 years in Daniel 9 to complete the 70 weeks.

Of course, they did not write about 7 years nor 70 weeks neither.

Which your view is a man-made theory

Hardly. The Lord Judges and I am comfortable with it.

which there is no text in the New Testament by the apostles of Jesus having confirmed the Daniel 9:27 covenant for 7 years.

I think you are confused. I never teach that Christ confirmed a covenant that lasts literally 7 years.

Your view is no matter what the text says - make up anything you want that has a lofty ring to it.

You are saying this because you do not like what you are hearing. Spiritually blind?

And then proclaim everyone else does not have spiritual understanding.... which most here don't have understanding from the spirit you are leaning on... that part is at least true. ....see what I mean.

Do you even know what "wisdom" and "understanding" in Scripture means?

And I don't say a 7 years great tribulation. The 70th week for most of the first half of it - are not tribulation, because the world will be saying peace and safety.

Incorrect.

Isaiah 40:1-2
  • "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
  • Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins."

What "peace and safety" did God actually talked about here? The world peace or the Salvation of the Lord? Do you realize that the kingdom of Christ is the peace of safety of Israel? Not in strong walls and a great military mighty, ONLY in Christ Jesus. Yes, Jerusalem would have peace. But what Jerusalem? Not the sin sin-cursedy n the Middle East or any political nations in the world, which was NOT the Jerusalem, the Holy City of Prophesy wherein they would find true peace and saftety. The city is Christ's body making up people redeemed among men wherein they would have warfare cease, is in Christ! We no longer fight God, but have peace with Him.

You need to study Daniel 9:24-27 carefully. What will God plan to do with His people who are Daniel's people:
This is Peace and Safety! In Christ, who have confirmed a covenant with His people! This is how God had made reconciliation possible between HIm and people who once in spiritual warfare against Him. It has NOTHING to do with "world peace" like you believe.

The great tribulation begins when the abomination of desolation is setup to be worshiped which begins on day 1185 of the seven years - and 1335 days later Jesus returns to this earth from heaven.

No, you do not understand the nature and purpose of the great tribulation. It is not for the world, but for God's Elect. The great tribulation starts when their testimony for salvation is finished and the beast comes out of the bottomless pit and kill (silence) them IN THE CHURCH. This is where "great tribulation" found at. The tribulation FOR the Elect ENDS when they "see" abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place (now unfaithful church) as a sign. This is why the signs in the Sun, Moon, and Stars occurs AFTER THE TRIBULATION. The sun, moon, and stars are to be understood spiritually which have everything to do with the fall of the New Testament Congregation prior to Second Coming just like the fall of Old Testament congregation prior to the Cross. The 1,260 day, 1290 day, and 1335 day are all part of the final covenant week which span from when Christ died (and confirmed the covenant with his Blood to make it strengthen) to the Second Coming. Of course, it lasted a long time but the 1,260, 1,290, and 1,335 are appointed by God within that timeline only know to God. Not something we need to figure out with our calendar. We will "KNOW" like the fig tree parable, that we will realize that we have past 1,290th day when we "see" the abomination of desolation" as a sign, so we will know that "summer" (1335th day) is near. Only those who are "alive and remain" will "see" the signs, thanks to the "Spirit of Life" (Holy Spirit) comes upon them, Revelation 11:11. We do not need to bother with calendar or date-settings as most people do. That is why they are blessed to know that "summer is near, even at the door" which is the Second Coming itself. They just do not know exactly when. Anyone who receives the Spirit of Life after lying dead in the city, are blessed, to discern the signs of Christ's coming as Daniel wrote:

Dan 12:11-12
[11] And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
[12] Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Rev 11:11-13
[11] And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
[12] And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
[13] And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

1Thessalonians5:
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

No, you do not understand the nature and purpose of the great tribulation. It is not for the world, but for God's Elect.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Luke 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1Thessalonians5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
