So, Adam wanted to obey all God's commandments. But Eve told Adam that she is going to die this day and he will stay alone and he won't be able to obey the first commandment - to multiply and replenish the earth.
Why not?Would Adam understand what Eve told him? No, he would not.
Yes, it is possible that his first reaction was: "Are you crazy, girl? No way. I am not eating this fruit. There are plenty of great food here"So, Adam replied to Eve: Are you crazy? Now, come back home with me.
Why not?
He understood these words:
Eve: "Adam, I just ate this fruit. If you don't eat it you will be left alone in the garden."
(I know that it was not all she told him. But I will stop here. )
Yes, it is possible that his first reaction was: "Are you crazy, girl? No way. I am not eating this fruit. There are plenty of great food here"
But Eve already KNEW something Adam didn't know yet. She explained to him why it is better to become like Gods.
I'm curious. These conversations are not recorded in Genesis. So where do you get them from?...She explained to him why it is better to become like Gods...
According to the Bible:It is possible that Adam do not understand what Eve said, and do not believe what she said.
Adam chose to disobey the second commandment so he could obey the first one.Adam has both Eve (at least he thinks he does) and God, why would he want to disobey?
Serpent did lie. Adam and Eve died the same day AS GOD SAID. Does God lie? No, God doesn't lie.Satan did not lie. She did not "die".
According to the Bible:
Adam ate the fruit. He made the decision to follow his wife. Eve said something to him, of course. May be she told him that it was great to become like Gods knowing good and evil. May be Eve already knew that it was GOOD what she did.
Adam was NOT tempted like Eve was (according to the Bible). So, it was decision after some thought process.
God gave two commandments: 1) multiply and replenish the earth and 2)do not eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil.
God said they will die the same day.
Adam: " So, God gave me this gift, my wife whom I love. God told me to multiply and replenish the earth. God told me that she is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. We are ONE FLESH now. Eve already ate the fruit and she will die.
What should I do? (we remember that Adam was NOT tempted as Eve was).
Oh, I know what I will do: I will OBEY the first commandment of God - multiply and replenish the earth even though I have to break the second commandment. From these two commandments of God I choose commandment number one.
Adam chose to disobey the second commandment so he could obey the first one.
God is so wise. But you don't see this wisdom of God yet. You don't know why God planted this tree in the middle of the garden, why He let Satan to be in the garden to tempt Adam and Eve. You don't know why it was necessary to obey one commandment by breaking the other.
God is so wise.
Serpent did lie. Adam and Eve died the same day AS GOD SAID. Does God lie? No, God doesn't lie.
Only God can promise LIFE, not Satan. Why do you think Satan was called "serpent" by the prophet/s? Because "serpent" is symbol of God of Israel. Satan who was not true God gave the promise that only true God can promise: "you will not die".
Satan didn't look like serpent. He looked like a man when he approached them. But the prophet called him "serpent" because the prophet understood very well that Satan tried to deceive them that he was true God.
Because he loved her.
When I think of Adam's love for Eve, fear of losing her doesn't register for me as something he would have.I never thought of that before. I don't know why but I just never did. Could it be that Adam followed Eve because he loved her and did not want to lose her? wow.
When I think of Adam's love for Eve, fear of losing her doesn't register for me as something he would have.
LDS doctrine, then. I thought so, but thanks for making it clear. From the revelations that God gives to His Church in these last days.
1. Adam & Eve were created as mature adults.Likewise in Genesis, if it had really happened, how were Adam and Eve supposed to know who was telling the truth?
Great question. I guess it all comes to faith or trust.OK, everybody sees the ties to Genesis. The stories are similar. In our story how could you possibly know if Abe or Benny were telling the truth. Likewise in Genesis, if it had really happened, how were Adam and Eve supposed to know who was telling the truth?
God would never punish them for making wrong choices. And they never did. It was not possible to make right choices and wrong choices before they knew what good is and what evil is. To partake of the fruit was the right choice. To become like Gods to know good and evil was the right choice. That is why God never punished them. And if they had no way of knowing, how can they be faulted for making the wrong choice?
It is all about faith/trust.The same thing can be said for everybody who claims to speak for God, whether it is Jeremiah, or Paul, or Benny Hinn. How would any of them know if the voice they are hearing is the voice they should listen to, while claiming that those with other revelations are wrong?
She trusted Word of God.After Eve ate the fruit,
How would Eve know that she "died"?
When God would cast her our Adam would see it with his own eyes. Separation form God = death penalty = spiritual death. How would Adam know that Eve "died"?

Adam also trust Word of God that she would die physically.
How did Adam and Eve know the being they were talking to was God? How did they know the being they were talking to was correct?1. Adam & Eve were created as mature adults.
2. They walked and talked with God on a regular basis.
Note also that God tells Adam & Eve one thing, and an animal convinces them differently by having them appeal to their empirical senses?
1. Adam & Eve were created as mature adults.
As I said:How did Adam and Eve know the being they were talking to was God?
