True, may of us do not know many things. Many of us have different ideas of what right and wrong is.Not that bad.
We are worse. Many many of us do not know those things.
I was told by admin that I can respond to your posts.Suppose your life had begun this way: You wake up suddenly on a strange but beautiful planet, in the middle of a bountiful garden. After coming to your senses you start walking around, and that is when you meet Abe. Abe seems to be very smart. He tells you that he made everything here, and he will let you stay here if you follow one rule: Don't eat the purple apples. If you eat purple apples you will get sick and die. Then Abe leaves. OK, no problem, there are plenty of other things to eat here. You start eating the blue bananas. But then you meet Benny, who also seems to be very smart. Benny tells you Abe is not telling you the truth. Benny tells you if you eat purple apples you won't die like Abe says, but you will become as smart as Abe and Benny.
What do you do? Who do you believe, Abe or Benny?
She was the taste tester.Hmm. Eve ate first. Adam knew she will die. But he made a choice: to follow Eve. I wonder why?
Because she didn't die.So, why did Adam follow Eve?
Paul blames Adam for death coming into the world, as God had originally warned.Adam gets blame for what?
Blames? How can you blame someone who doesn't understand that disobey God is evil? Paul didn't say: I BLAME Adam.Paul blames Adam for death coming into the world, as God had originally warned.
True, the word "blame" isn't there. But he did say that sin and death came into the world through Adam.Blames? How can you blame someone who doesn't understand that disobey God is evil? Paul didn't say: I BLAME Adam.
True, may of us do not know many things. Many of us have different ideas of what right and wrong is.
So, Adam and Eve didn't know that breaking Abe's rule is evil(sin). They didn't know that obey Abe's rule is righteousness.
Hmm, what a world! no sin no righteousness. but every choice is neutral.
Really? EVERY choice is righteous? what is righteous choice I have to ask you then?It is too complicated.
No sin. Every choice is righteous.
Correct, sin and death entered this world through Adam, but nobody blamed Adam for this.True, the word "blame" isn't there. But he did say that sin and death came into the world through Adam.
Btw, I'm already aware that LDS doctrine is quite different from Christian doctrine in this instance.
Really? EVERY choice is righteous? what is righteous choice I have to ask you then?
Even if we assume that you are correct and every choice is righteous then Adam and Eve didn't know this. They had no idea that their choices were righteous. They didn't know their choice to disobey God was sin/evil.
So, back to OP.
As I said before I would choose to become like Abe.
Now I want to explain why.
1) I have no idea what it means to die.
2) I really want to become like Abe. I want to know what He knows. I also want to know what death is. Abe knows.
Abe didn't say that I can not know what He knows. Abe didn't say: I don't want you become like Me.
yes, of course, righteous is opposite of sinful. But what is righteous choice?A righteous choice is not a sinful choice. It is a very simple dichotomy.
you still have to tell me what "righteous choice" is.Yes, Adam does not know right or wrong. All his actions are right until ...
Yes, he would know he would disobey, but he wouldn't know it is wrong to disobey. And yes, Adam does not know what is wrong or sin. All he knows is that he would disobey what is told.
I want to be as smart as he is.In the OP, Abe is a stranger. Why do you want to be like him?
Adam wanted to leave his father and his mother and to be with his wife so he could obey the first commandment of God - multiply and replenish the earth. Why don't you simply say you want be like God? Did Adam want to BE like God? I don't think so. Adam is perfectly happy as Adam himself.
