CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would call my cat "dog".A completely ridiculous word game! Pretend that I'm about to get a cat, and I need your help to offer me the stupidest possible name for him/her!
For those of you who may be unaware, and A to Z word game works by following the letters of the alphabet. For example: The first response may be Asparagus, because it starts with A, and who in their right mind would name a cat Asparagus????Then the second user would use a word that starts with B; such as Butterbutterbutter! Then the next wacko would say Carp, then the next, Ding-Dong the Dung Beatle, and so on.
Get it? Then let's go!!!!

Must be a common name for a cat; I hear this one yelled out all the time!
To keep this going, I could name a cat Xerox...then the next cat Xerox....then the next cat Xerox...
(If you don't get the joke, Xerox is a brand of copiers...hence, repeatedly naming a cat after a copier)
