I posted it for one thing, the results of the information. I have never seen an atheist convert, yet multiple atheists convert in only a few minutes. amazing.

Odd. Just from your thread title and your repeated charges of off-topic posts, you kept saying this thread was about "evolution". So why would anything to do with atheism be relevant? Considering you appeared to report people for off-topic posting earlier, it seems remarkably inconsistent.

Yeah, so am I.

I had to make notes. I watched it, pausing and rewinding, for about 6 hours.

It was terrible.

well I guess it's true that it's the odd ones that try to debate online all day. I guess I know, cause i are one. lol no offense.

evolution and atheism go hand in hand, plus the op discusses all that was in the video's one video exclusively based on origin of the universe being nothing, athiesm.

Right. I'm guessing it's an inherently nonsensical question to begin with.
if it is, then almost every evolutionist in CF for the last ten years could not answer it. That reflects on their nonsensicallness, does it not?

What exactly do you find compelling in the video itself? What specifically about its substance do you feel is worth hearing?

You know, when conveying a message, typically you lay out your objective, you describe your supporting ideas, then you close with clarity and precision.

An hour long video though is going to talk about countless topics, its going to derive a variety of conclusions. Some simple, some complex. So to get a point across, its best to summarize, otherwise your message wont be conveyed. At the very least, key points should be stated.
not countless topics. Just a few. It's the logic of the typical atheist, that is needed to be seen to gain context, context I literally can't emulate as a theist.

Like I said earlier, I don't believe you at this point. You're just playing games.

Not really, as evidenced by the majority of christians who don't have any problems with mainstream biology. Which includes the pope.
Clearly, being an atheist is not a requirement to be able to accept the facts of biology.

Atheism is just the non-belief of theism. It has nothing whatsoever to say about the origins of the universe.

Ask away then. Most of your posts so far have been about people's reactions to your little video, if you have anything pertinent to say on the topic (which seems unlikely at this point) go for it.

Well, your position will not be persuasive. Unfortunately. Best of luck, and blessings.

One of the main points of the video is the incredible complexity of DNA. The oldest fossil ever found has complex DNA. The simplest DNA is a thousand times more complex than a set of encyclopedias. It quite simply didn't for by random chemicals. Subtle variations in the genetic code do not account for the origin of the genetic code. This isn't randomness, this is design. Intelligent design has to have an intelligent designer. So there is a God and His handiwork is revealed in the incredible complexity of our bodies and the world around us.

God has a nature and His nature is perfection. That's why sin is such an affront to Him, and why people stained by sin cannot enter His presence. There is a place for those who wish to spend eternity in His presence and a place for those who do not.

Complexity, however, does not equal deliberate design.

The oldest fossil ever found has complex DNA.

The oldest fossils ever found don't have DNA preserved with them.

well you are one that watched it. Did you pray ahead of time and say "Dear God if you are there, show yourself to me...after all I heckle christians all day on a christian forum and let them hear me, the least I can do is listen to you for one hour."

did you pray that prayer?

praying for you bud.

I did pray a lot when I was still a believer. I have never received an answer though. Maybe your God does not wish to reveal himself to me and prefers to keep hiding in the clouds. Whatever the case, not my problem.

evolution and atheism go hand in hand,

I am sorry to disappoint you but the majority of Christians accept the theory of evolution.

You might want to look up Francis Collins (Christian and former head of the Human Genome Project).

He had the following to say:

"As someone who's had the privilege of leading the human genome project, I've had the opportunity to study our own DNA instruction book at a level of detail that was never really possible before. It's also now been possible to compare our DNA with that of many other species. The evidence supporting the idea that all living things are descended from a common ancestor is truly overwhelming. I would not necessarily wish that to be so, as a Bible-believing Christian. But it is so. It does not serve faith well to try to deny that."

I wouldn't call most of those people particularly deep thinkers about their beliefs. Sorry. Most of 'em were kids and maybe they'd just survived their first Philosophy class or they were excited to be an "outsider" or whatever.

The stuff Ray proffered wasn't particularly compelling in any way. Especially if one has arrived at atheism through a deeper study and self-examination.

I feel I should clarify a point from last night's watching of the "Atheist Delusion": Ray didn't really critique Catholicism. He asked a young man if he was a Christian and the guy responded that yes, he was Catholic. Then Ray went onto "Are you born again?" To which the Catholic guy didn't really know much about. This is not uncommon since I think the Born Again idea is largely a more conservative Protestant concept. So Ray had to tell him how to get to heaven by being born again. It wasn't really a critique of Catholicism but it kind of felt like Ray was not only taking on evilution but also all manner of problems he is capable of fixing through his superior knowledge of all things universal.
