... p.s. I'm afraid to post anything because there are grumpy people here who hate cats
I'm not a Republican (and certainly no Democrat, just to be clear!), but I am a member of the GOP- that's "Grumpy Old People"! As such, it is my sworn duty to point out that your cat makes more sense than much of what I've seen here lately; though things seem to be calming down since some have been calling them on it.

Your posts always seem to be genuinely looking for answers. Your questions are not arguments camouflaged with a question mark. I don't think anyone has a problem with you or others who honestly come to discuss things. We all started on this path by asking questions, and I wish I'd had the sense to look for something like this forum when I first started.

The fact that these mainstream "Crusades" might keep people who are starting out away, and interfere with our honest exchange of ideas as well as our own search for the truth is why us GOP members get so worked up about it. We may argue among ourselves, but out of that usually comes understanding. Arguing with people who just want to argue obfuscates the truth and wastes our time.

So you keep posting. I learn from those who answer you, and if I answer it makes me think and sometimes research. Anyone tells you different, you tell 'em you know a "GOP" who'd just lo-o-ove to talk to 'em!

ok. thanks for understanding. I actually was being sort of cryptic in that post. No one hates my cat. LOL. It's not actually my cat either. :) I don't feel like explaining what I really meant right now LOL. but you're OK with me.

I'm down to one (we had 4 at one time, but one by one they got old and passed on). This last one showed up on our porch in the winter right after we lost the last of the 4.

That is the sad part of having pets-when you lose one. I don't expect our old male cat to be around much longer. When we lose the other two-hopefully not for a long time-it will be a tough decision whether to get more since after we retire we will be overseas for extended periods of time.
Right now I would have a lot more than three cats but husband has said three is his limit.

My DH was not happy when Kleinah showed up, but she's a sweetheart and he tolerates her.
My husband loves cats, but he figures three is enough. Not sure how he came up with that number.

Once summer “really” started and the hordes of tourists come out, it became harder to find uncrowned and fun things to do. I canoed down a river with my kids May 18, the weather was warm, but the water was chilly, but we were alone for the most part, with the occasional fishing boat passing us. Last week on the same river, you could have walked across on all the people in tubes and kayaks. The best part was no email, computers, and internet.

Most of the time was spent camping in a tent in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, and Lower Michigan with a mix of driving and hotels/bed and breakfasts.

Sounds nice!

This forum is dull.
It was until this thread was started.........

Mat 13:15
For the hearts of this people have grown dull, their ears are hard of hearing and their eyes they have closed.
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.'

See, now you went and ruined it! I didn't even know there was such a button as a "view post" button!
LOL, why would you want to see what they said if you are ignoring them?
I have a few people on already, and thinking about a few more..........................

:D

You will also be able to view an ignored member's posts if someone quotes 'em ;)
