Since when did a clear anything in the Bible impress you guys?

1 Samuel 9:16 To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.

2 Kings 7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

Let me guess:

"Tomorrow" isn't clear enough?

1 John 2:18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.

Let me guess:

"Last hour" isn't clear enough?

Don't ask me ... ask DogmaHunter.

He's the one who needs to be impressed.
I'ld be impressed if she can come up with a single prophecy where a clear date is given.

Gong. Petty religious blather.

Got anything more than childish insults?

Which I do not believe, because all so called evidences you offer are bad religion.

You only think that because you have no knowledge about what it is.

History started after the flood, not 1600 years before it. Only the Creator had the history for that, and we have it too.

What was it you said? "Petty religious blather", was that it?

You are in NO position whatsoever to intelligently or factually challenge it! You think there is factual evidence that man came from worms!!!!!!? Ha.

My position is in reality. Yours is in fantasy...

Come back to me when you can do more than noisy posturing.

That was a factual description.

No evidences you have ever presented, as few attempts as there may have been, were worth a pile of beans.

My position is in reality. ...

I disagree. I'ld be impressed if she can come up with a single prophecy where a clear date is given.

I am not aware of any dates given in the thousands of prophesies. For example there are over 1800 references to the second coming of Christ, and it is clear we are not to know the date.

Jesus fulfilled hundreds of prophesies, each one making the big picture clearer. He came on cue 490 years after a decree mentioned by Gabriel. Exactly.

Dan 9:26 -After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end. That time ended about the time Jesus was near the end of His ministry here!

Indeed.

This is one of my favorites ...

1 Kings 13:2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.
Wow. I didn't even know about that one.

Aren't there 3 different versions of Daniel?

No. I am not aware of any major difference in opinion on the key prophesies in Daniel. There are some areas that one can for example, guess exactly when it starts referring to the final AntiChrist in chapter 11, and when it leaves off referring to the king that was a foreshadow of him. But who really cares?

I know of no bible believers that disagree on the main four kingdoms of several chapters...Babylon, Medo Persia, Greece, and Rome. I know of no believer that thinks Gabriel really didn't come from heaven and reveal things, such as how many years till Jesus etc.
.. That alone brings anything about Daniel into question, not to mention the rest of the Bible.
That merely shows you are talking out of your element.

Wow!! They both begin with J!

It is really amazing how little it takes to impress you.

It is interesting that it was in the place Armageddon will be fought that Josiah was wounded to death.

It was also interesting that the man of God prophesied something significant that happened right away, that proved he was a true prophet.

4 And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. 5 The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.

It is interesting also that God refers to the great mourning the people had for this great good king in relation to end time. Specifically the time when all Israel will be saved!

Zec 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. 11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. 12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; 13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; 14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

Stories from the Old Testament cannot be tested. Therefore they cannot be claimed to be valid prophesy. All that is shows is that the writer of the story did not make an error over the period of a day. I am not impressed.

If you want anyone to take your book seriously you are going to have to do a lot better than that.

I could say the same for you.

See the problem with the many of the Old Testament "prophecies" is that they cannot be tested. Therefore their so called prophetic value is zero. There are definite failed prophecies in the Old Testament such as the Tyre prophecy, it can be debunked with a map. Last there are prophecies that are so vague that there is no "right" date for them.

Really?

The trick in these prophecies is not to see one happen -- anyone can fake a prophecy coming true.

The trick is preventing a prophecy from happening.

Now there's where the rubber meets the road!

And in that light, Yasser Arafat spent his whole life trying to keep one from coming true, and now his tombstone is a monument to his wasted efforts.

And he's not alone in his endeavors, is he?

His zeal lives on!

The problem is that some of them have time limits. Of course apologists will do back flips and other mental gymnastics to justify their false claims.

For example the Tyre prophecy clearly applied to Nebuchadnezzar and only Nebuchadnezzar it is completely worthless as a prophecy if that is not the case. It is a failed prophesy. It is also a test to see if you are debating with an honest Christian or not. An honest one will admit that the prophesy is a failure.

For example the Tyre prophecy...
Nuts to Tyre.

Let's bring it right up to 2014 and place your comment right in your lap.

Here's what you said:

You want to test some Old Testament prophecies?

There are 333 prophecies concerning Jesus Christ.

In His first advent, He fulfilled 109 of them.

That leaves 224 that He will fulfill when He returns.

Knock yourself out.

Don't curse the dark and pick on Tyre.

Light one of 224 candles and go to work.

That is, if you truly want us to believe you.

And believe me -- I don't.

No, there are not 333 prophecies concerning Christ. And this shows why creationists feel no shame when they quote mine. Most of those so called prophecies are simply quote mines. They are verses taken out of context that can be said to apply to Jesus. If they feel no shame quote mining their own holy book what respect are they going to give other sources of information?

If you are going to start your premise with such an obviously false statement how do you expect anyone to give you any credibility at all.
