Ed with your view of Jesus just being a man. You proclaim that when Jesus died on the cross for us that it was just a man. His death was no different than any other man. Is this correct?

It is NOT my view that Jesus is just a MAN. Jesus SAID it himself: "But now you seek tio kill ME, a MAN who has told you the TRUTH..." (John 8:4). Jesus NEVER said that he is BOTH God and MAN.

Jesus DIED just like any other MAN on the cross. "Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was CRUCIFIED WITH him. But when they came to Jesus and SAW that he was already DEAD, they did not break his legs" (John 19:33).

The soldiers SAW Jesus. Jesus DIED. In CONTRAST, apostle Paul wrote that God is INVISIBLE (cf. John 1:18)  and IMMORTAL (1 Tim. 1:7; 6:16). INVISIBLE as everyone KNOWS means CANNOT be SEEN. And IMMORTAL means CANNOT die.

Would you also say that Jesus was no different than any other man on the earth? That is he did not have one bit of Deity that he was only given all authority by God after he was raised from the dead?

Jesus did NOT have one bit of DEITY. God DID all the miracles, wonders and signs THROUGH the MAN Jesus (Acts 2:22). God GAVE Jesus the authority to SAVE and FORGIVE sins (Acts 5:31). God RAISED Jesus from the dead (Rom. 10:9). God GAVE Jesus all authority in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:18).
