I could of mistaken, since CIA tries to cover up tracks from me as i were hatching ideas at the same time was given a truthserum! You do also know that the church forbid cutting (as in operations) and prevented the study of dead bodies. This set back medicine quit a bit. Also today vaccines use evolution to determine how viruses and bacteria change and how they should be dealt with in the future.

Medicine (drugs) was indeed improved by Christians, however at the same time many people who would practice medicine were often called witches and burned. Innovation and science were met almost at every turn with opposition by the church.

In some cases they helped but in many others they hindered.

I'm afraid you missed the point. No one is disputing that a lot of notable scientists have believed in God. What he said is that the actual belief in God had NOTHING to do with the discovery. No one has said "Genesis 1:1 and the curvature of space indicates that Quantum blah blah blah..."

You can't prove that the discovery had nothing to do with God, just as I can't prove to your satisfaction that it did.

What it does provide evidence of is that rational, intelligent and ingenius people believed and continue to believe in the existence of God. Their discoveries did not come into conflict with their faith because they saw the hand of God in all scientific discoveries and creation.
