Also, people read the Bible because it makes them feel more secure. Just look at dad in another thread. He has been forced into a corner where he can't question any of his beliefs. This is because he has forced himself into the tiny little box of Biblical literalism.

It's as if you live in Bizarro world where everything is the opposite of the real world.

That's not true. The real world is never a real world. What is accepted today, will be unacceptable tomorrow. The world is an never ending experiment in trying to find evasive happiness. It never finds it. Its always changing for that reason. Once it stabilizes it gets bored with itself after a while. Yet, all during the existence of mankind, in the world there have been some people finding true happiness, and without needing the ways of the world. God gives happiness. Even if its to the unbeliever, its God who gives happiness.

I did not say homosexuals. I was speaking of an individual. Some homosexuals have that tendency. Can't speak for all. Just using that to illustrate a point you wish to avoid... like you avoid as a norm.

There are many drugs that can give that kind of "happiness" too, but in the same vein as religious addiction, I wouldn't advise the use of them.....

You are never alone as a believer because your God is always with you, he guides and protects you.
You have a personal relationship with your God and you could not get more personal than in your head.
Your God knows you better than you know yourself and your God understands you, you talk to your God (you pray) and your God hears you, other people also have a God but their God is not like yours.
You can not imagine your life without your God.

Do any of these symptoms sound familiar?
