A little about me: I'm over 50. Married. We live close to the Continental Divide with white winters and breezy summers. I love God. I love Jesus. Like dogs, reading, period piece sagas and cooking.

I've been gone for about 3 or 4 months recovering from a bike wreck. Its good to be back and reading posts again. My concussion (bleeding on the frontal lobe) is behind me and I'm thankful I survived. In late August, I was riding on the Salem, Va. Riverside Greenway, and the next thing I remember is waking up in the ER and asking "what happened?" Anyway, I'm back.

This is a place for people to come and relax; you can play games or just join in a friendly chat.
The discussion in some of the other sections gets a little heated for me some times; I'm not a big debater, so I just tend to stick to the lighter and friendlier talk that happens in this section.

Thanks. I think you're right. I've seen that. Imho, it's one thing to have a discussion, with respect towards differences of outlooks and opinions, and it's another when it gets too heated.

Then I'm very glad to join in here, since my outlook is just that.. lighter, friendlier talk brightens the day.

I loved my mood ring, platform shoes, and disco dancing.

mom wore go-go boots, false eyelashes, and short little dresses with cut outs in them and big loopy earrings.

That was my moms look, she wore those.

I wore the little post earrings for gymnastics and ballet classes.

I was too sporty for the big hoops!

I did go to christmas eve service as well as church today.

it was nice to devote praise and worship to god on the first day of the year!

It was a delight to see the church parking lot full of cars this morning.

lots of us wanted to start the new year out right.
