Hi everyone!

It's good to be here, this looks like an active and knowledgeable forum.
I am a Humanist...do not run away, I am not here to prove anything or challenge anything...I am here to learn and chat.
Christianity has always fascinated me: the traditions, the beliefs and the life principles; I'd like to hear the prospective from practicing Christians.

I chose the username KeepSmiling as I think people should do it more - the world is full of stress and anger...let's spread some love and joy!

I am going to explore a little now...any questions, please ask.

I like the username, btw, and even more your reason for choosing it.

We do have plenty of Humanist and other non-Christian members here at CF (obvious since it was a choice offered for your faith option, yes? ).

The only thing is that some forum areas are Christian-only. Every forum should have a Statement of Purpose stickied to the top that will give that info as well as any rules particular to that area, if there are any.

But I'm not saying that to warn you away. Rather, I wanted to let you know that in case you ever have any curiosity about the ancient Eastern Church, or just want to visit, that our forum (TAW - The Ancient Way) is very tolerant of respectful visitors of all kinds. And while actual teaching or debate against the Church is not allowed in the main forum area, we do actually have a subforum for that as well.

Other faith areas might be welcoming as well, or not. They are meant to be "safe houses" for the faith group. I just can't speak for anyone's but my own.

And if you have questions about the way the forum works, or need help finding your way around, and so on, feel free to ask. We are happy to help!

Thank you for your response, your advise is very helpful. Luckily I have noted that certain areas are Christian Only so will be sure not to post there.
I am browsing the forums one by one...gosh its big!

I will be sure to send you a message if I need some help...am I right in saying that I need a certain number of posts and likes before I can PM?

There is a minimum - I might be wrong but I think it's 25 posts. But if you type @ username (with no space, and in my case ~Anastasia~ with the tildes) it will send me a notification, which I always try to check them all.

Or you can ask generally in thread, and hopefully someone who can help will see it. But feel free to send me a notification if you need to.
