His new day is October 21st.

I haven't heard anyone ask him his take on Matthew 24:36. All I want to hear is him defend himself and flubber over his words when asked, "So what about this verse in the bible, sir? Not only are you giving a day and hour when it specifically says no one knows the day or hour, but you are mathematically coming up with your date. Any comment, Mr. Camping?"

I think the guy lost a lot of credibility, to say the least.

For some reason, people have been predicting the end of the world for decades, at least.

I don't understand the point of telling everyone the world is going to end.

If it does, it's not like we can do anything about it. And if it doesn't, it just becomes a whole lot of the boy who cried wolf.

My understanding is that only one of the Mayan calendars ends on that date. That there are more, longer calendars listed. That there is only one cycle that is ending on that date, not the end of the world.

Did Campings prophecy come true?

Psalm 37:18-19,
"The Lord knows the days of the blameless,
and their heritage will abide for ever;
they are not put to shame in evil times,
in the days of famine they have abundance. " NRSV

God's plans started in the beginning and will unfold as He planned.
Nothing we do or say can or will change that.
But if we are faithful and obedient we are promised eternal security.
The choice is yours, trust what God has promised or trust the lies of men.
As for me and my household, we will serve The LORD.

Camping, the poor man is so misled by his own mind. I doubt very much that he has ever really read the bible.
As far as the Mayan calender, it is just that, a calender. Has the world ever came to an end on december 31st before? My calender always ends on December 31st every year, but the world hasn't ended yet. And that is the way it will be in 12-21-12 with the mayan calender.

Perhaps if people would just try reading the Bible...
I mean, it's not like Jesus couched this issue in a parable or was the least bit vague about it. I keep reading stuff like "poor Camping, he's so deceived". I'm sorry, I think that's hogwash. What he preaches goes directly against what Jesus Christ said. That makes him an anti-Christ, plain and simple, not a false prophet. Why do I say that? Because he won't quit despite what he knows he has done and is doing to the people he's leading. This man is not dumb or demented as some are suggesting. He has knowingly made a choice to ignore Jesus' words and follow evil and he is knowingly continuing to lead people astray. Even a child can read Matthew 24:36, know what it means and accept it. There is just no excuse for his behavior.

There is no other Mayan end time date. Dec. 21 2012 is it. But if you can find other dates related to Mayan end of the world prophecies, in our life time, then I would like to see them.

The Mayan end time date is an assumption. No one can really say that it says the world is going to end on 12-21-12. All the calender does is show seasonal changes and solar changes, what the weather is like and what it will be like and how the cycles change, then it is to start over. Look at your calender on the wall, does the world end on december 31st every year? No it starts over with the next year.

Jerushabelle, you would be surprised at how deceived these false prophets can be. I have every confidence that Harold is either as you say, and he is a tricky liar, or he REALLY DOES BELEIVE HE IS OF GOD.

believe it or not a man can find faith in Jesus and be led by the devil and he himself has no idea he wasn't a man of God the whole time.

Personally? I think camping is fooled by Jesus into thinking he is a man of God and really believes that he is a prophet. HE MAY EVEN BE RECEIVING MIRACULOUS SIGNS FROM A FALSE SPIRIT THAT HE THINKS IS GOD( or is God but don't worry about that that's hard to understand for you guys. )
