On this thread I have met some people I have never seen before, and wow I am sad by their behavior.

I belong to another forum, it ia a beautiful deep place for Christian women. While you do have to be a woman to post there, you do not need to be a Christian. However, you do need to follow the Christian rules. You cannot cause strife. I think that with proper boundaries, this too could work, but that just like a small child there will first need to be quite a few boundaries as the culture adjusts and Leaders (by this I mean by their personality not by their title) show how to behave around others, once that is in place the strict boundaries could be peeled away slowly....

Well, theologically, and even philosophically, there is the belief that the world came into being from out of chaos. Or, could be said, first nothing, then chaos, and finally order when God decided how He ought to do that. While Erwin may not be God, let's at least put in some hope that maybe God is working through what appears to be chaos. Can we at least try to do that?

Oh yeah, going along two lines of thought, I also think DR should be reopened so we don't keep this thread spinning around in circles on policy matters.

So that members could form blocs that then rove the site voting rules and moderators to their influence regardless of whether or not they are actually regulars to that particular forum.

Something sort of like political parties might work, where you have to choose a forum to be a member of and can only vote in that election. Assuming controls for socks, of course.

Overreacting I think. Perhaps we could wait to see what God's Spirit is doing before denouncing it? Moreover I recall that the Spirit was working with Cornelius before he became a christian. We need to step-back and be willing to 'let go', I think.

I am going to have to test and see how the new Open forums will work out, I am reserving judgement until I see Erwin's final version. Even on many secular boards I visit, there's ALWAYS hidden admin. forums, without a single exception. Inner business workings that members simply have no need to see.
