Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
Ok, this answers my only question...happy I don't have to go do a ton of editingI'm not about to just make all the staff forums OPEN as of now because of all sorts of confidential information in it. I will close the current ones. New ones that are public will be made. Members can post in them.
Report forums will be public. Members can post in them and comment - why not.
The Wiki will be totally OPEN to all members to edit.
The idea is for more openness, not less.
Radical it may be, but it will work.

This forum is for the discussion of doctrines held by people who are members of churches and denominations that do not fall within conventional mainstream evangelical Christianity - basically people who hold beliefs that do not fall within the definition of Christianity as laid out in our Forum Rules, which is based on the Nicene Creed. These people will not be allowed to post in our Christian-only forums.
Examples of these people who fall within this category are "Christians" who are also Preterist, "Christians" who reject the Trinitarian nature of God, or "Christians" who are Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses, and other denominations considered cults or sects by mainstream Christianity.
However, these members who consider themselves "Christians", (although not according to our Rules) may still post in this forum. (NOTE: atheists and non-Christians are NOT allowed to post in here).
This forum was created to foster communication and debate between Mainstream Christians (defined as Protestants and Catholics, Orthodox and Messianics) and those who consider themselves Christians who do not belong within mainstream Christianity. It is hoped that we can learn more about God, the Bible and each other.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. - John 4:23
I won't be able to answer all questions.Erwin - a couple of things: do you want questions about the changes here or in separate threads? And have the database errors been fixed?
My one small question is should we go through and remove our personal life info from the Staff Forums that we don't want visable to guests or all members?
Wow!
I think these are wonderful goals, and I will continue to pray that CF will be able to implement them in a way that will bless both Christians and non-Christians alike.
May I ask if the role of Ombudsman and Conciliators is going to continue, be dropped, or change? If things work out as I always hoped, they'd have nothing to do
