I agree with this, which is why I've always felt CF should have rules against bad behaviour.CF should be a place of refuge

Not surprising, really. Most of the membership wanted a Christian forum. It will be interesting to see what replaces CF.Many people, including current staff, will not be happy with the above, and some will quit, leave or resign
I agree. I know I'm young and don't know anything, but I can't see how this is going to be anything but disastrous. I hope and pray I will be proven wrong. I will go along with whatever the rules are here on CF. But non-Christians being on staff is simply a recipe for disaster.Am so so sorry if this sounds rude, or mean, but am uncomfortable with the idea of non-Christians being on staff... insofar as, you likened it to a church. Non-Christians wouldn't be staff within a church.
Wide open forums is fantastic, but non-Christian staff at "ChristianForums"? Tis a thinker.

That's not what staff has been told. Staff has been told that their primary job is Christian ministry.I think like Praying said, it should be viewed as a job. The mods shouldn't be here to lead the sheep, but to enforce rules and keep order.

If you think that that is why staff was limited to Christians only, you are very mistaken.Some people act like the only ones can moderate fairly are the "Christians". A person is a person, having a particular religion isnt going to change their moderation skills.

I hope we atheists can behave ourselves.
As much as I disagree with Christian theology, I respect the right of Christians to have a place where they can go to discuss issues amongst each other without having every thread devolve into an attempt to prove to an atheist that God really exists.
I know I will try to be respectful of theads where it is apparent that an atheist's perspective is neither sought nor appreciated. I hope my fellow atheists will do the same.
Feh, wasn't like the "safe" places were all that safe. They had their own problems, such as isolation and becoming desolate as one group began controlling things with an iron fist about who had the right to be there. I'm sorry, but being a Christian is not about being an elitist, IMHO
