LOL..now let's not take things out of context. That is referring to worship not a place of dialog and this isn't a war council.Always ?
[bible]Matthew 6:3[/bible]
Am not interested in all the hubris and superior arrogance or invective crap in this thread. I want to know what will happen to forums such as spiritual warfare, and the prayer request section. There *are* people out there who hate Christianity, and Christians. It's much more frequent that you realise until you step into the middle of it. So, seriously, these people join and decide that people discussing spiritual warfare is a joke and go there just because they now have carte blanche to do that; or people go into the prayer request section and advise someone depressed to just kill themelves - something which I was told happened at a certain other forum.
What then? It's easy for people to say people with little faith are in trouble, anyway, but people like that need love and support, too. Discarding them with a "Oh, well if your faith was real, you'd be fine either way..." is dreadful.
Further, believing the Bible is the inerrant Word does not equate with being politically far right and the assertion is useless rhetoric.
So, I want to know, what happens to people genuinely seeking help and someone devastates them? If it happened even once, that's too many.

Satanists aren't "uber-crazy".
We shouldn't be bullying *anyone*. In fact the ones who are vicious need, if anything, MORE love. But frankly that's by the by.Me? I just bully the bullies, no matter if they're right-wing Christian or uber-crazy Satanist. You gotta take care of problems yourself sometimes.
And the second statement, deserves a rep. The problem is, 90% of right-wing Christians DON'T believe this...
I've had that happen to me even in Christian forums where they DID have heavy moderation... so I'm not seeing your point. In fact, the only person who ever told me to go f myself was an admin of one of those Christian forums. We shouldn't be bullying *anyone*. What happens if even one person is in need of help, and they are given destructive advice, or feeling vulnerable and told to go f*ck themselves. Sub-forum democracy won't make a jot of difference.

Lisa, if you are upset by that, you should have been in the open chat last night. And there was no mod to stop it.Has that EVER happened before? If not, why would you think that it would start now, for goodness sake.
Furthermore, not to be petty, but I mean, honestly, GM, I am very, very surprised at this post from you. I mean even with the *, we all are getting what you wrote and I wish you hadn't. I cannot imagine that you have ever wrote that before so why are you doing it now? I am just amazed at this from you.
Lisa
hmnn I have seen that happen, but more moderation to immediately delete posts seem to work better if there are trusted mods.I've had that happen to me even in Christian forums where they DID have heavy moderation... so I'm not seeing your point. No, seriously, what I'm trying to say is, it's up to the community to protect the innocent. Self-governing communities are great if they're small, but when they get larger, it can be very very good or very very bad, and it's up to some of us to contribute to make sure it stays very very good.

It was a direct quote from another forum, along with the "Just kill yourself" response.Has that EVER happened before? If not, why would you think that it would start now, for goodness sake.

Thicker skin may be needed too.I know what you're saying. And I've witnessed people on here assuming the worst and leaving because they just assume if they can't have their way then it's going to be "very very bad". It can go either way. I would hope with this new openness that the community would embrace it as opportunities to share their faith and build each other up in ways we haven't been able to do before.
I've been scared to post here at CF for many reasons. I've heard so many horror stories about people getting banned for no reason at all, and people getting blackballed. I feel like now that things are different, we can discuss things without fear of being struck down. We won't be held up to someone else's standard. We will always be held up to God's standard, and that's what should be important, and I guess some people are afraid without some kind of strict and mean standard there's no possible way it can benefit people or something. Lol.
