Now that is a great signature.:thumbsup: I have one but won't use it until I "unretire" my other username. LOL

I tried to add it, but it keeps giving me a database error.

How 'bout this one....

This is what happened last night when Erwin made the announcement;

HitsFan.gif

Can anyone point a finger to this announcement? I still haven't seen it and can't seem to find it.

As for the image of the ventilation device, when hasn't that been the case around here? From what I've heard so far, the changes are just what was needed. (My opinion, of course.)

I'm beyond sad at all my dear friends who've left or resigned... I doubt I'll make it through any voting criteria due to the two teams I was on, but am hoping some will at least see I was good at my job, and just maybe I can continue to serve...if not, I know where the caturday thread is

I am saddened by the new rule.
I thought the Nicene Creed was an excellent standard.
We'll be over-run by every wind of doctrine flowing from the pit of hell.
When my state instituted a concealed weapons permit for the masses, people proclaimed, "we'll have blood running in the streets!". But the law went in anyway. Other than a few obtaining permits, little changed. Shootings didn't go up and crime went down.

Dig your heels in, take a breath and see whether or not you're correct. You might find things are okay, even if those of doctrines with which you don't agree decide to join. What's wrong with seeing other opinions? You don't have to accept beliefs if you find them unacceptable. Simply seeing them won't cause you any harm.

Are you sure? The other doctrines are out there right now (and I'll leave it to the side for the moment as to whether or not they are truly from Hell). Do the forum rules actually protect you from these doctrines. Can your reason (or perhaps the Holy Spirit) not discern the truth without a barracade of rules to do so. And if you really need the barracade (i.e. rules on a forum written and run by people), then have you not already succumbed to one or more those doctrines.

What Erwin has done is to open communication and participation. There are no means of finding or defending truth that were available here before that are not available now. The only thing that is different is the allocation of power to control the dialogue. The power to control what will or won't be said, when, and where, and by whom should never be confused with a defence of truth.

I realize you are not a believer, but I just have to shout out a big ole Baptist "Amen!" to that. :)

It might be worth the time to consider that in the outcome of every war, there are those in positions of power who lose those positions. And in nearly every case, they considered themselves good people who were treated badly. That would likely include many in Germany at the end of World War II. Personally, I believe their impression of themselves was misguided. Rarely does anyone engage in wrongful behavior feeling that it was wrong. But everyone should understand that the shields they stand behind simply won't last forever. While standing behind the protection of those shields, they should always remain mindful of the day when those shields fall. If they don't, they become part of the bath-water.
