They will get worse

If athiests are allowed in the chr4istian forums it means they will interupt when people are wanting to fellowship.

Consider it an opportunity to witness.

Anyway, I imagine that most Atheists are too busy debating things that interest them to have any interest in crashing your fellowship.

From that post alone, you obviously fall into the first category, those who fear that you'll not be allowed to use Scripture to promote or defend your beliefs.

You will be allowed.

Nothing is inevitable.
No I assure you I do not fear persecution on my home forum. I am an able debater. And yes the use of Scripture was already being limited before all of this. Now that the NC has been taken away as a measure Scripture will be next. I've seen it on 2 other boards before this one that took the same steps.

Considering that I consider myself an athiest, are you saying that I am going to be doing that?
If I really wanted to interupt people in the CO section all I have to do is create a 2nd account and check the "christian" box. But I don't, and I don't see the point in doing that. And honsetly it's christians like you who automaticly think that someone like me is out to get you that is very hurtful and what drove me away from the chruch years ago.

No, they won't. This isn't FSTDT. Atheists here are generally very nice. Geesh! Leave your rockpile and cross over to this side of the street where the rest of us sinners are hanging out.

I mean, Jesus did not just hang out with the Holy crowd. He went where the sinners were, and sinners were sure drawn to Him. He did not send them packing. He welcomed them and taught them and DIED for them!

If you are so concerned with shut ins--why not start your own on line forum?
There you have it. The Christians in service to Christ here are now being told they are no longer welcome by non-Christians.

What was it again many of you labeled as paranoia? This is now a secular site. I'm sure the devil is pleased with the influence of the world on the "tolerant" church once again.

God help us.

Its gunna turn into the IRC, this will no longer be able to be a fellowship with fellow christians becuase athiests will be storming the threads...

The christian vision will be lost.
Can't help but feel a bit demonized with comments like that. There was a time, you know, when we WERE able to post in the congregation forums. We were asked not to and forbidden to actually debate, but there were many exceptions. Personal restraint IS a factor here. If you say that those threads are not for debating theology, the majority of us will respect that.

I shared good debates with athiests. It was a great challange for me.

Well, I've seen the *accusation* of that on two other boards, but I've never seen it in *fact*.

By "persecution", I meant that you wouldn't be allowed to refer to scripture.

Don't go down the slippery slope. There's a lot of ground between point A and point B.

The whole "We cannot preach the gospel anymore" is bunk. It is completely made up and has no basis in reality. Will people please stop whining and pretending this deep concern over something that was never ever said by Erwin?

Lisa
I've seen it happen, it is very possible when majority rules and when the majority makes the rules.

And I don't whine.

What some may see as a "hothead", may be seen by others as the first overcoming fear to speak out where they believe it to be appropriate. Why are so many so afraid of what someone else might say? If you believe you should be allowed to express your opinion, how can you feel others shouldn't have the same right?

I'm talking about hotheads on both sides.

First test for you maybe, I wonder if the old forum is still standing:scratch:

I'm not sure I understand your response.

By the "old forum" do you mean CF as it is currently configured? If so, I was still unable to post in the CO sections last time I checked. Instead I posted in GA earlier today and I'm now going to check for any responses.

Has this not been the "first test" for you?

Where are you getting this from? No one has told Christians they can't post here.
