Ok...

I agree with some but it just means people willt ake advantage, they will swear, be nasty, Debates will get ahrsher becuase they wont get warnings...

Yes.

So?

Someone's always taking advantage, no matter what the system is. You'll simply see different people taking advantage of a different system.

Nothing really changes.

That's about what I said in a nutshell. There's the strong possibility that this will unleash the hotheads where we don't want the unleashed. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Eh? See above.
Its gunna turn into the IRC, this will no longer be able to be a fellowship with fellow christians becuase athiests will be storming the threads...

The christian vision will be lost.

And I am sure there are many undectected socks out there.

Maybe in this new spirit of being open we can have a list of All the Mods who have used sockpuppets and what the names of those puppets were for each mod.

Just so we can recollect back and realise who was deliberately trying to get other posters in trouble. I seem to remember one very senior Staff Member going around as a female Mormon poster as ther sockpuppet.

The whole "We cannot preach the gospel anymore" is bunk. It is completely made up and has no basis in reality. Will people please stop whining and pretending this deep concern over something that was never ever said by Erwin?

And if it is broke (And Erwin seem to see that it was broke) ?

That's why the Nicene code was handy
Indeed. This is more of a stance against orthodox, conservative, traditional evangelicals to make way for new age theology. Oliver Cromwell would be proud of the level of destruction being proposed.

As an amateur cyclists I'm honored that Erwin chose to wait until the day the Tour de France starts to make these changes. :)

(That was the reason, right?) ;)
I am a retired cyclist and used to biked hundred of miles before I was forced to stop.

Hopefully everything will be positive this year at Tour de France after last year's situation.

I will gladly debate this in another thread as I said. If you want to continue this vein here then you will do so without me. I would rather stay on topic. I veered off and shouldn't have done so. If you want to start another thread I will gladly debate you. However I am done with this topic on this thread.

swearing--while users can not use certain 4 letter words, I see users (both christians and non-christians) find ways to get around this.

Being nasy, and debates getting harsher--I also see this going on now.

The christian vision will be lost.

Do you honestly believe that there is an army of "atheist" getting ready to storm Christianforums ?

They will get worse

If athiests are allowed in the chr4istian forums it means they will interupt when people are wanting to fellowship.

I think there will be a rule to cover swearing and flaming

Actually, I think in Erwin's part of the world, it was July 7, 2007. I would think that he did that as a little joke. I wish he would come back and confirm.

It should probably be noticed that Christian Forums has called itself a "community" for a long time. The use of the word "we" should therefore reflect everyone in the community. I assure you, in this case it does not.

What some may see as a "hothead", may be seen by others as the first overcoming fear to speak out where they believe it to be appropriate. Why are so many so afraid of what someone else might say? If you believe you should be allowed to express your opinion, how can you feel others shouldn't have the same right?
