True.. He gave the commission before the Pentecost, and when the Pentecost came, the Apostles were ready. Through Peter's preaching, Church was created.uh, read it again, that's what I said. Christ gave the great commission BEFORE PENTECOST.

If all the not-christians were booted out we would still be at each others throats. They are not the problem. We are.
Amen!!Which is exactly what Jesus did, and still does.
He even accepts the "doctrinally correct know-it-all" Pharisees...although he challenges the way they believe and live their lives most of all.
If it's a slippery slope, then I, for one, am glad that CF is slidin' with Jesus!
If those 5-6 people jump in, they'll be derailing and presumably stopped, no?
Yes... I missed some and misundertood, now I see that we both agree. LOLslow down and read more carefully
You both said the same thing.
Well, you guys don't know me from Adam, so I'll only offer you a nickle's worth of free advice once -- it ain't worth it.
Really.
Quitting a job you like, leaving a board you enjoy, settling old scores, picking new fights, spouting off in a moment of fear and anger.
Just quit it. It's not worth it. It hurts you, inside. It makes you less than who you really are. It will leave you with regrets, uncertainties, and remorse for a long, long time.
Just stop... chill for a minute. Don't freak out, the world hasn't ended. But certain friendships and relationships may be teetering right on the edge of ending.
It ain't worth it, guys.
Cool.never too old to learn![]()
I agree and which is why we have Church leaders such as Pastors. CF do NOT have such leaders. Just moderators.Churches might have an open door but they still do not just let anyone stand up and teach.
agreed, so when you said, "Jesus said Go and make Disciples, not invite them to church to make them Disciples," I said, "maybe because the church didn't exist when he said it." See what I was saying?True.. He gave the commission before the Pentecost, and when the Pentecost came, the Apostles were ready. Through Peter's preaching, Church was created.
Depends on who the moderators are......
The way erwin is setting things up, those 5-6 may BE the moderators.
I don't think that trolls would be able to become moderators...Depends on who the moderators are......

Yep and it will still be a popularity contest.I think you may have missed an earlier post of his (unsurprising, given the speed of this discussion!). The moderator elections would be done by subforum, so it's immensely unlikely non-Christians are going to be modding outside of Debate.
There'll have to be controls to prevent voting blocs, but I imagine that will be hammered out before the system is implemented.
I agree and I welcome the challenge. I learn more about my own beliefs at a deeper level when I debate with others including non-believers.never too old to learn![]()
Why not? If they have enough votes there is no reason that they cannot be.I don't think that trolls would be able to become moderators...
Yes, I see what you are saying. I mis-read. Bad me.agreed, so when you said, "Jesus said Go and make Disciples, not invite them to church to make them Disciples," I said, "maybe because the church didn't exist when he said it." See what I was saying?
Why would anyone vote for someone's who's trolling? And if they start trolling after they become mods, then they will be removed, because mods aren't above the rules. Why not? If they have enough votes there is no reason that they cannot be.
