Only legalists will see this as an weakness (doctrinally)while God sees opportunities to spread the Gospel.

 And how is CF as it was yesterday NOT spreading the Gospel? I have yet to have an answer from you.

People are forgeting that no one is going to run the forum anymore, mods will serve, rather than run things.

I am happy that everyone will be invited to this huge Christian Home, and yes, some visitors are better than others, but at the end, only our own actions are in our hands...PEACE

I don't think anyone is worried about you who are here now, it's those who are invited w/o proper dress.

Ok...I admit I understand that. That would be a valid concern of mine, though, with the voting process itself though...not with unbelievers.

We don't want someone who happens to have a lot of friends but would make a terrible mod getting on staff anyway. But who's to say that didn't happen in the staff forums behind the scenes anyway yknow? I mean didn't they vote on mods after they applied? In the end it's always been a popularity contest.

Hopefully people who frequent certain forums will have the maturity to vote for people who will make good mods, and not for their bffz. I think compartmentalizing like Erwin said, into each small forum, might actually make the mod thing work...truly.

This is also in the beginning stages...let's everyone remember that. Nothing has happened yet. This is all just speculation.

not saying they shouldn't be here..BUT NOT IN LEADERSHIP positions on a CHRISTIAN board...there is a HUGE difference and why can't people see that?? Seems obvious to me...but hey..what do I know..according to most here...not much.
Again, if we stop looking at staff positions as leadership, then it seems fine to have non-Christians in staff positions.

I will repeat what I posted in #440

No one knows if a person's salvation is true but only God. My pastor says he is a Christian however, only God knows his heart. God knows who are His. We must openly discuss with all who will listen, treating all Christians as fellow Christians. Don't stay away from CF because there are so many hypocrites because we are one of them in this world while God knows our hearts who are true to Him.

Correct :) I enjoy to talk to the non believer then you can see if you can defend your faith as the bible say we shall do

...which you could have done (if you haven't) already in many sections of the forum. Have you?

If you want to call me anything call me a doctrine based beleiver but I'm not legalistic. And how do you know how God sees this. From my bible it's liberality done wild. Simon now pays for the Holy Spirit's power!

If we don't allow non Christian's at the site, how then can we witness to them?

They were allowed in many places~there were designated areas to discuss all issues with them.

It's it sorta like church (yeah I know "CF isn't a church")~we wouldn't allow someone to come in a disrupt a worship service. Particularly among the congregational forums were many that sought out those places for fellowship and peace.

TO THOSE that say the new rules "allow" members to vote for their mods and forum rules~~according to the new rules anyone can call themselves anything they like, so who's gonna moderate this process and validate this stuff?

Erwin has done well:D

Yesterday CF was mostly doctrinal more than gospel. We always argue over things that we love, or that we disagree. This will always continue however with unbelievers and those who believe in wrong doctrines will read and debate, that I pray the Holy Spirit will convict them to change.

it's been a long time coming. I am one who recently left CF because of the unilateral power the mods had over the whole site - it was getting really stifling and taking my joy in my Savior away. The changes you suggest are awesome:clap:

I will be praying for the whole process. May our God give us all hearts of flesh and may we rise up to the challenge of truly being Jesus to each other and to those who are searching:pray:

We agree on somthing

We must openly discuss with all who will listen, treating all Christians as fellow Christians.

How can that not be done already if people have questions?

I really wanna know when that happened anyway. I've never been on a site where staff was "leadership" and was expected to be anything but policemen or janitors before.

Do you mean in the Christian, or non-Christian section?
