How is a non-Christian a "certain Christian believer"? CF as it is now (or was yesterday) allows non-Christians and has many areas to discuss the Christian faith.

The old CF also meant a "Christian" had to accept the Nicene Creed. The new CF just accepts everyone. It's the liberal "I'm ok believing as I want to. Don't step on my toes with your theology. Just let everyone do as they want - God is a nice guy. Live and let live."

The name "ChristianForums" should be changed. It is not accurate.

The new forum will be all inclusive, and allow non-Christian mods to possibly remove posts, add in that A teaching can't be allowed because it will hurt X person's feelings. And it will go on and on.

So, God is limited regardless the title? This is a Christian site regardless who comes in. God opens the door for EVERYONE and only a few are truly Christians (which God knows which ones).

I welcome the opportunity to discuss my beliefs and allow God do the convicting.

...really? I take it you're not joking?

Well I was originally but it must have been the Holy Spirit that gave me special insight into the anagram so that I could answer the post using the same kind of humorous wisdom Jesus often used when confronted by his detractors.

So I guess it does have merit now!

What I'm saying is that any meaningful dialog is going to be eliminated due to the elementary level we will ALL have to be on.

From what I understand, there still will be meaningful dialog is certain forums that are confined to denomination's rules.

It hasn't happened in women's discussion.... this really comes down to common sense. The quesion 'What about the Bible?' is appropriate for a debate forum like General Apologetics. It is not appropriate for Women's discussion. Is this kind of common sense really so hard to understand?

Your obviously not familiar with the JW history or current teachings.

We''ll see how good your interpretations and those of "real Christians" holds up to biblical scrutiny....

I am familiar with all cults teachings but I am not afraid of them. God is able to save them through us. They are not completely lost until they physically die.

Funny, Jesus original 12 disciples and a few others turned the world upside down for Christ. There are many thousands of born again Believers on CF and you mean to tell me you are AFRAID of other religions or no religion?
How about the fact that with this number of Christians we can be a LIGHT and SALT, and a WITNESS to them.
Unless the "Christians" who are arguing against the new changes are truly AFRAID because to them Jesus really doesn't have the power to change anything!

Where is FAITH man?
As I said earlier, even Jesus took a break from the crowds to be with his disciplines alone. I come here looking for a resting place among Christians, which was in line with the old policy. I did not come here for outreach, I have done and do that on other boards.

There's a difference between moderating a message board, and ministering on a message board. The moderating is done by staff alone. The ministering can be done by any member, including staff. Staff positions are not positions of Biblical authority. Hundreds of regular members know the Bible as much, if not more than staff members. Thousands of regular members here, probably have as much, if not more experience in actually ministering to people.

Let's not blur the lines. CF is not a church, and staff members are not ministers of a CF church.
Bravo! so true!

The spirit leads and if he wants someone to minister in a thread..and they are listening..then they will..ive seen it plenty..from many members!

Hey You Guys! I went to bed last night in the early part of the thread. They were coming fast and furious then too, but gosh, into the second thread already! Unbelievable! I have alot of reading to do. It seems as if alot of arguing has already started. Well, what is new with that. :D

Caught three fish today, but they were all small. It was fun though. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Of course - and you can certainly discuss your beliefs.

BUT - as is happening in different countries. Will you be allowed to speak what the Bible actually says? Or will your posts be removed as a type of hate speech? Will you, as another post said, be able to get past just the Bible being the Word of God?

Will there just be a lot of [whoevers] coming in, getting each other to support each other, become mods, and work from the inside to just disrupt the whole forum?

Tell me how, as of yesterday, CF wasn't welcoming to non-believers? How were they not being reached if they had questions?

I have done the same at other boards and there are many unbelievers come in here looking for answers, we should be open to discuss their concerns.

Meet Star Crystal.

But you believe in the gap theory.
Theory, I like your choice of words for someone who usually posts such absolutes!:p

"In common usage, people often use the word theory to signify a conjecture, an opinion, or a speculation. In this usage, a theory is not necessarily based on facts; in other words, it is not required to be consistent with true descriptions of reality..."

Ok, I gotta run and work on my house but y'all have fun with this ...

Wise idea. Why look for that at Christian forums?

"And he opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke ascended out of the pit as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun was darkened, also the air, by the smoke of the pit. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came forth upon the earth; and authority was given them, the same authority as the scorpions of the earth have. 4 And they were told to harm no vegetation of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

5 And it was granted the [locusts], not to kill them, but that these should be tormented five months, and the torment upon them was as torment by a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 And in those days the men will seek death but will by no means find it, and they will desire to die but death keeps fleeing from them.

I agree with Leanna. In the Women's forum we've had many [open] threads the past weeks and it's going really well. It may be different for debate forums - but as long as we don't know the exact new rule when it comes to debate, you can't really tell how it's going to work.

I will wait and see. For now, I am enthusiastic about the change.

Thank you Erwin!

Exactly. CF as of yesterday was already a place for non-believers AND believers. But if you are a believer and wanted a resting place, or encouraged etc, you could do that without fear of someone coming in just saying "Prayer's a waste of time. Try....." or "Why do you bother being a Christian?"

If you were a non-believer, you could disrupt outside of the Christian section, and "under" [supposed] Christian mods. Or, there were sections for seekers to ask questions of believers.

Now, anyone can go anywhere. Disrupt if you want. Why would non-believing mods care? They wouldn't!
