The word FLESH, has both Elf and the initials of the Holy Spirit.

It depends on how they do it. If they continue to not allow debate in the general Christian forums, then things will be okay. No harm will come from non Christian discussion of "What's for dinner tonight?"

There's a difference between moderating a message board, and ministering on a message board. The moderating is done by staff alone. The ministering can be done by any member, including staff. Staff positions are not positions of Biblical authority. Hundreds of regular members know the Bible as much, if not more than staff members. Thousands of regular members here, probably have as much, if not more experience in actually ministering to people.

Let's not blur the lines. CF is not a church, and staff members are not ministers of a CF church.

Funny, Jesus original 12 disciples and a few others turned the world upside down for Christ. There are many thousands of born again Believers on CF and you mean to tell me you are AFRAID of other religions or no religion?
How about the fact that with this number of Christians we can be a LIGHT and SALT, and a WITNESS to them.
Unless the "Christians" who are arguing against the new changes are truly AFRAID because to them Jesus really doesn't have the power to change anything!

I don't see anything saying we cannot discuss or debate the "meat." And I don't see this as a milk bathed salvation camp. I think a lot of members would disagree.

I have seen lots of discussing doctrine and I expect that will continue. I think the only change will be that one member or mod won't be able to simply throw someone out because they disagree. And there are some doctrines floating around that really have no difinitive answers. In other words you can get 3 or 4 different interpretations from the Bible. Example: there are at least 4 or 5 different rapture doctrines and most people hold to one adamantly. I believe in one (and it ain't pre trib nor is it mid or post trib but I know we're going) but I believe it about 98.5% In other words I give GOD the final say and I know God could make the rapture at a time when no one expects it. So it's open ended: Be ready.

People get so indoctrinated that they fill their minds with this stuff to the point that they do no real work for Christ other than spout scriptures at others using them as a sword to cut and maime. Wasn't Christ about healing and providing for people physically as well as spiritually?

You got that right. Like I said, I'm praying that the Holy Spirit, which leads us "into all truth", will inspire Erwin to "knock heads together", when it comes to the many of the Moderators who have exalted themselves as little Popes.

As Christians, we whould allow God to do the ministring and convicting in our posts.

I believe that God is not limited to rules but rather use us through many resources.

There are many Christian Message Boards that "posted" the signs that only "certian Christian believers" are allowed to be members. If you do not "fit" in that category, especially non-Christians, you are not welcome.

How is a non-Christian a "certain Christian believer"? CF as it is now (or was yesterday) allows non-Christians and has many areas to discuss the Christian faith.

The old CF also meant a "Christian" had to accept the Nicene Creed. The new CF just accepts everyone. It's the liberal "I'm ok believing as I want to. Don't step on my toes with your theology. Just let everyone do as they want - God is a nice guy. Live and let live."

The name "ChristianForums" should be changed. It is not accurate.


The new forum will be all inclusive, and allow non-Christian mods to possibly remove posts, add in that A teaching can't be allowed because it will hurt X person's feelings. And it will go on and on.
