Daniel Tyler, born tonight at 6:30:20. 5 lbs, 1 oz, and absolutely beautiful - full head of dark hair, beautiful eyes - and JR is now officially "Gramma JR". Mother and miracle doing fine, but Gramma is exhausted.
Those were big babies, TW. I had 2 who were a little over 5 lbs. and one 6 lbs., one 7 lbs.Congrats JR!
Only 5 lbs? Seems so small to me... as ours were all 9 1/2 pounds. I wasn't afraid to hold them when they were born.![]()
Did you gals carry as long as my wife did? She went 10 months with two and a week longer than that with our third. Talk about frustrating. She had to have blood tests every couple of days to make sure everything was still ok with the babies... seems to run in her family.
I'd better get off this topic.![]()
I hope Connie has a wonderful experience as a young mother.
Nope, all mine were a tad bit early; the docs said there wasn't any more room for them to grow and the fluid was low, but I never had to induce; seemed the babies knew it, and were ready.
She must've been pulling her hair out by then, TW. I couldn't stand being even 8 mos. pg.
TW with one our kids and a "false alarm" we went to the hospital around 6pm and were given the primo birthing suite, one which looks like a person's bedroom/living room at home.Yea... she was. And after awhile, following several false alarms and trips to the hospital, I kinda gave up. With our last one, she told me it was time and I told her to go back to sleep for awhile just to be sure. Not a wise thing to do with a woman in labor.
Well okay I'll share...I shared already with Jenna.Congrats JR!

These are my babies birth weights in order from oldest to youngest...
8lbs 9ounces, 11lbs 2oz., 10lbs 3oz, 9lbs 11oz., 7lbs 11oz.
BIG babies. But they were all born the old fashioned way and all but one with no drugs...I had drugs with Alexis who was induced...wow talk about pain!!
They were all born in under 3 hours, except for Alexis who was born in about 8 hours.
Oldest was early by 5 days, the next 3 were 10 to 14 days late and the last was 10 days early and induced.
I had MANY false alarms with my 8 y/o. My H didn't believe me when I finally did go into labor which was a few hours before I was to be induced. We got to the doctor just in time...she was born in 52 minutes from the time we hit the door to the hospital.
Understandable.Well... it was a little hard for me to be too excited about "rushing" to the hospital. Labor lasted from 12 to 24 hours for all of them. Our last being the 'quickest'.
That was pretty much my experience too. By the time #4 came, I was the one telling the nurses to hurry up and get the doctor. Knowing this was my fourth, they believed me and ran!!Ours got quicker and quicker as each kid came.
From 12-18 hours, to 5- hours, to 2 hours, to <1 hour.
Honestly, when waiting for #4 I was worried we might not make it to the H in time. The old saying of needing catcher's mitt seemed right on!
I think my kids just liked it too much where they were!Ours got quicker and quicker as each kid came.
