I'm using humor to make social commentary. We all have high expectations for partners, but are we willing to live up to those expectations.

I may be unveiling my cynical and sinful side here, but whenever I hear a guy saying that the first thing he notices about a girl are her eyes, I just hear BS. From a practical point of view alone, they're a really small part of the human anatomy.

In terms of a first quick glance, I'd be focusing back quite a bit, to look at her figure, to put it politely. A few milliseconds after that, her demeanour will make-or-break my first stage assessment (at the risk of sounding nerdy). A pretty girl with a great body doesn't add up to very much at all, unless she's got a pleasant personality.

But eyes? Yeah right!

I guess it depends on what physical traits you go for. Personally, her eyes are the first thing I notice and look for. Every time.

I know what your kind of getting at, but those traits to me are not that important. That's just me though.

I'm 5' 10.5" so I'll never date a guy who is shorter than me. Not an option. Humor and personality are a close runner-up but height takes the cake.

anyway for me the most important thing is that they are a christian, and a practicing one.

also I'd prefer them to have some kind of interest in fitness/health. I workout 3-4 days a week and watch what I eat. So it would be nice if they also had a healthy outlook on life.

Also, good point on your partner being a Christian but a practicing one. A lot of people claim Christianity but they don't practice it. No bueno.

Unless the girl is really tall, so her eyes are harder to see, or she just comes into view from whatever else I'm looking at with a different part of her anatomy, I always look top down instead of viseversa. I find the eyes and go from there, because for me, those are the most attractive part of a girl's body.

1) What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?

2) Is there a must-have your potential bf/gf has to have and if so, what is it?

1) eyes, hair height and build (yes i know thats a bit normaly eyes draw me in and i notice the other things straight after that)

2)must be sweet, romantic, must enjoy a good conversation, must accept me for all my faults and love me for who i am.
