A message from Adam to all of humanity as given to Pastor Rick Joyner!

Where do you personally think that Pastor Rick Joyner got this message?

  • I tend to strongly suspect that his message is from God and is probably true!

  • I suspect that Rick Joyner is one of the most intelligent Christian deceivers.

  • I suspect that Rick Joyner may have been involved in LSD tests in the '60's!

  • OK, that is pretty good...I think I will read it one more time!!!!

Everyone is in a season of growth and development...evolution, if you will. And the things people fall on their sword for in previous times may be things they're against in the future. There's the reality of how the Lord works with all people at differing levels---and as the old saying goes, "God doesn't condemn us for what we are...but for what we refuse to become."

.......

Extremely well said Easy G! I read part of your post over four times and all of it twice....that is somewhat out of the ordinary for me!

I have the book the vision open here beside me and there is a paragraph that hits me like a sword so well, and cuts so deep into where I have been at almost all my life...that it may help to explain why I read Rick Joyner so much during this season of my life:

......Rick Joyner from page 139, subtitle The Writer's Remorse:

"I did not point men to Jesus," he continued, "but to myself and others like me who pretended to know Him. When I beheld Him here, I wanted to grind my writings into powder, just as Moses did to the golden calf. My mind was my idol, and I wanted everyone to worship my mind with me."

"Your esteem for me does not cause me to rejoice. If I had spent as much time seeking to know Him as I did seeking to know about Him in order to impress others with my knowledge, many of those who are in this lowest of companies would be sitting in the thrones that were prepared for them. And many others would be in this room."

This paragraph is pretty much the story of my life!!!!!

One of the major reasons why I was so impressed with Garner Ted Armstrong and his dad Herbert W. is because they gave me material to work with that allowed me to win just about any debate with almost anybody as long as we took a sola scritura approach to the debate!!!!

My motivation to be here at this discussion forum is partly good....but also partly an ego trip just like that writer whose books had been a major source of encouragement for Rick Joyner himself!

Well I was in my 30's back then and the word was the same then as it is today.

I think you should stop spending all your time reading and rereading things like this and instead immerse yourself in the Bible. Deceptions are abounding and RJ is one of the top proponents. Anyone that is involved with the likes of Todd Bentley I would not waste my time on.

I disagree because certain portions of what was given to Rick Joyner hit me with a power that and a clarity that is almost impossible to find! Yes, I could have learned these things another way but it seems like Rick Joyner and I have many similar character flaws so since he openly writes about his own problems, he makes it easy for me to learn from him.

I would like to take a minute to try to do the best that I could to speculate on what Simon bar Jonah/Peter/Cephas might say if I went into a G-force jet fighter training device, had an out of the body experience and met the Apostle Peter:

Cephas/Peter: "As I travelled to the many churches in order to attempt to feed His lambs and His sheep I repeated the story about my having denied him three times....because I knew there would be somebody in the audience who would be tempted to deny Him and by hearing about what I felt after I had made this terrible error they would be encouraged to do whatever they needed to do to remain faithful until the end of their lives."

"As I spoke to many groups of my own countrymen, the Jews, I admitted that I had tried my best to kill Malchus by splitting his head open, but the guy ducked and I only cut off his ear. By telling them about my error I was able to discourage many of my own countrymen from instigating a revolt against Rome."

"I admitted openly that I had followed Rabbi Jesus/Yahushua in order to gain political power because I had a warped idea of when and how and why the era of Moshiach/Messiah would be ushered in. At the time that my King said to me "Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men" this was because Satan was influencing me in a way that could be compared with how King Saul threw spears at David."

Sorry, I guess anytime someone does not like a question that is asked, it is considered debating? I suppose I need to stay off your board since I'm obviously just ticking people off for not being friendly enough or whatever.

Anybody know which board is for "Christians" as in those that are born-again by being washed in the Blood of Jesus who walk after the Holy Ghost and not after the flesh?

Apparrently, I need to find the board for "Christians" so it will match my icon. Thanks.

Disclaimer: This was just a friendly reply... it is not intended to teach or convert anyone
to anything, as this is just what I'd do based on my viewpoint so please don't turn me in!

Here's something that would help. Go up to the top of the forum list and read the SOP. It says that (and I paraphrase), if you are not MJ you can only post in fellowship not teach, debate, discuss, etc. That's the way it is. Any questions please pm me or one of the other upgrade members.

Thanks and God bless.

I am too busy to read a lot and it seems like everyone preaching has a book out.

What are some of the heresies or things that don't line up with scripture that Brother Joyner writes about?

Shalom

PS I've never heard of Rick Joyner

No problem. It's obvious that this is being used to shoot down anyone that says anything that "we" don't like such as me saying I'm a Jew (God's scripture says I've been grafted in, regardless of what you think!).

If anyone knows of a board that is for "Christians" (so it matched my icon), please let me know thru PM so I don't have to come back here which obviously is making you folks upset.

I'll not come here any more and see if I can find a board for "Christians" Yes, thanks and God bless.

OK... I just read the OP, and the ensuing dialog. What is supposed to be so exciting and inspiring about Joyner? I see nothing here that isn't commonly taught in any Christian church, for good or for ill.

So here's the pastor who a lot of people in the thread don't seem to like and you state that it's in many Christian churches. Brother Mishkan, I'm not sure I know how to take this.

LOL! I hadn't even thought about it that way. Sorry!

But seriously... the whole script is little more than a warmed-over "Don't do as I did" sermon. Is there really anything identifiably unique to Joyner in that alleged "vision"? Why does anyone care what he says, one way or the other?

ADDED:
My point was not to equate Joyner with any particular denominational teaching, or to broadbrush any particular denomination with the negative association Joyner seems to attract. All I said was that there is nothing novel in the entire "vision". Every element in there can be found in numerous denominations and/or churches. It is nothing more than a patchwork quilt of various charismatic teachings. That's why I fail to understand the significance of his message. Especially in a Messianic context. In fact, I have to question whether this is even a valid topic for this forum.

HI Sacerdote, If you've never heard of him how is it you can call him brother? That is a bit scary to me.

Well I know he is Christian Clergy and that he does some good. I just don't know a lot about him. Yet because he is a Christian he is my brother in Christ. Why would he not be your brother in Christ? And what is up with the last sentence? I take it as a slur toward me. Is that what it is Lulav?

Of course not. I was just wondering how you view someone as your brother. Why would I make any slurs at you? gosh, I was just trying to understand.

I personally use Yeshua's version found here.

from Matthew 12

Jesus didn't respond directly, but said, "Who do you think my mother and brothers are?" 49 He then stretched out his hand toward his disciples. "Look closely. These are my mother and brothers. 50 Obedience is thicker than blood. The person who obeys my heavenly Father's will is my brother and sister and mother."

And from Luke 8

But He answered and said to them, "My mother and
My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it."
Just because someone uses the label, 'christian' does not mean they are a follower of Jesus.

We are to have discernment.

4 For narrow is the gate, and straight is the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but
he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

From that for guidance I consider Rick Joyner and "Todd Bentley to fall in the latter group of 'Many' and if Jesus would not consider them his brothers, neither do I.
