Hey guys, I'm new to the site and wanted to say hi. I'm looking for advice, Ive been single for quite a while now and I really miss having a close relationship with someone. There isn't a lot I can do at the moment to improve my situation. There are no single women at church to talk to and I live in a rural area. Hopefully Ill end up moving in the next year or so but for now I'm stuck.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice, or just wanted to chat and get to know each other.

If you're fairly confident you'll move on to greener pastures, perhaps this is a good time to find contentment and joy alone. Each set of circumstances has its own advantages. Being on your own has a freedom that will always be sacrificed, to some extent, for the good of the beloved when being single ends.

That, too, has advantages, but that's not your situation. Yours is one of freedom, searching, enjoying life unhindered by other needs. Enjoy it when you can. When the time comes to give, you won't feel like you missed something.

The thing is, I don't know if I will be able to move on. I hope to, but its really up in the air.

Ive also spent most of my life alone, the fact is humans arn't meant to be alone. We need close friendships and relationships.

You're right. We do need those things.

What are the prospects for you? Are you cutting hay by day and writing a Pulitzer by night? Do you have a plan to move or...?

I'm dealing with some health issues at the moment, so honestly I'm just trying to get into a place where I can get a desk job. I have a REALLY low bar that I'm struggling to reach and there isn't a lot I can do about it. I managed to finally finish my degree not to long ago so that was a major acomplishment.
