Syl do you mean to kill me?
Flute Dave Shadow Brill and MD? :swoon: I think my writing is a little rusty to be thrown back in with some of my favorite writers. I suppose I shall attempt to catch up since my letter writing is finished XD and the marathon of Criminal Minds :p

Oh sweet Jesus. I posted it last night and there are already 16 new posts.

I haven't read anything on this yet, but I'm in. I'll need to read up and find out what's happening, so I'll get a character up later for you to look at.

Sounds good, Shadow.

@Brilliand and Flute: Lets just have fun. Flute, he's got a point. Brill, she does too. But lets just have fun.

Hey, syl... Any suggestions for me? at this point, i like to play strong characters i'm kind of over the days i had any desire to play dark, twisted things. lol

Hmmm. I guess anything would really work. I mean, I really don't know what to tell you besides there are no reall restrictions as to "oh you have to be this". I guess anything would work. Play something you would enjoy playing.

Flute said:
reality has little to do with fantasy.

I disagree. Fantasy teaches you to dream and not give up in the real world. And the real world shows you how to change a child's fairy tale into actual fantasy. They both go hand in hand, like the two conflicting sides of a mirror.

Brilliand said:
I'll probably be much more flexible once my character reaches full power, but for now, I have to keep him on a tight leash. This roleplay is still pretty realistic... it will be a while before we escape properly into fantasy. But then, when that happens the rules become even more important to avoid godmoding.

Agreed.

Shadow said:
Well, I've read up, and here are some choices for you:

Oh Lord. :p Well, I give you the same I gave MD...honestly you should play what you want to play. Whatever interests you, play it. I know from experience that you and Brill tend to drift toward more complicated characters, and I know you drift toward magic a lot of the time.

I wrote a little about magic in the OOC, and you pretty much have your say there. Magic and sorcery, and add your own little flavor. (I don't feel like typing up my entire magic system.) So just improvise, if you decide to go that direction. Otherwise, play what you want to play, thats the way to really keep interest in a game.

EDIT: And with everything considered, Zelos Ridlew would do nicely.

reality has little to do with fantasy.

LOL. Different context, sorry. I meant reality itself. It's kind of hard to explain without sounding unnecessarily esoteric. But it is true that reality is not the same as what you make up in your head... good thing too, since many people dream up stuff that makes them unhappy. :)

Lady Knight, I'm in your list of favorite writers? :p

A. I did not say that reality has nothing to do with fantasy.
B. I did not say that fantasy has nothing to do with reality either.
They are related, in some ways more than others, but they do not depend on each other.

Actually, Zelos is the one I'd like to do. He's based off of a character in a video game (Tales of Symphonia, for the Nintendo Gamecube. I highly recommend it. I very highly recommend it. And I don't say much about video games. Ever.) and he's just a blast to play. Plus, because he doesn't know magic, it'll fit in better with your system, I think.
It's also odd, because the game happens to feature a city like Bethany.

This is true...this game must be pretty wonderous. :D And alright, I think that he'll fit really nicely into this game.

I felt inspired to choose Martin Lintichfeld .

Although I'm a bit reluctant to separate him from his wife (Jasna), he's perfect for my idea by himself and fits well into Bethany. I'd like him to be a sorcery user eventually.

Looks good, MD!

Okay, you guys get a few more posts before I do anything. Namely the people who have not posted yet: MD, Shadow, Dave, LK. I'll be back tonight.

Fantasy? In depth character development? I believe this was made for me.

Let me see if I can think of something...

Mm, question. If a prisoner is brought to Bethany, are they then treated like normal citizens since their memories are wiped? Or are they actually still considered prisoners; in chains and all?

I'd hope that they're treated as normal citizens, since I wrote my first post with that assumption.

But seeing as how they don't need guards, chains on the prisoners would be pretty pointless.
