Hmmm I never really thought of this. But I was wondering about a certain type of kiss. The kiss normaly called a "french kiss". Does it speak of such a thing in the bible? I thought it was in song of soloman ch. 4 verse 11. But now I think I may have been taking it out of context. I am curious as what the biblical position is on it and I wonder if God intended for it to be shared between husband and wife (cause I think it is a bit too arousing for someone outside marriage).

CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Maybe the French claim the origin of the kiss for some reason, but it may have existed in that time. That's an interesting question! As far as should french kissing happen outside of marriage...I personally think it's not a good idea. It most often does become arousing and probably isn't the best way to honor God or each other. It's much more intimate than just little soft kisses on the lips, but society makes it seem as though it's nothing.

The majority of insight I've saught on the various aspects of the physical relationship are this: the Bible condemns premarital sexual relations. There are a lot of gray areas, such as french kissing. It's up to the indivicual couples to decide what they are comfortable with and what they can CONTROL. Control is a huge issue. If it makes you uneasy, steer clear. Simple as that

I would not think it should be done before marriage. But I was wondering if it would be considered something unatural. Like one of those things God didn't intend for. I personaly think it isn't a bad thing for a husband and wife. But I heard it said that it was unatural by someone and I wondered what the biblical view was.

My husband and I "french" kissed before we were married. Neither of us like it over much so we weren't stumbled by it. I have a hard time seeing it as unnatural. Weird to some maybe but not unnatural. For those who rarely find themselves alone or who have ooldes of control I would not see it to be a problem before marraige. The instant someone realizes it makes you linger on sexual thoughts or makes it difficult (more than normal sexual attraction) to abstain it sould be stopped. But that can go for any type of affection.

I think a lot of the skills I do in gymnastics are much more "unnatural" than French kissing would be

I dont think its something I want to do outsidde of marriage either. Maybe once Im engaged or something but that would probally be about it. Even then.
Arg that first kiss is always so uncomforable.. adn I would rather just bypass it all together.
I think when it comes right down to it (for me anyways) its something that should be decided upon as a couple, and much prayer and thought should be put into it.
That would be hard though because soft little kisses can be so sweet and romantic. But yah I just dont know....

My boyf and I have only just decided its acceptable to kiss (incl french kissing) because its an expression of how we feel about each other, and both feel that in the right context it is safe for us.
However, if we did it for hours, or were lying down while we did it, etc THAT would be a different story...so I think you have to watch where you kiss, and why.

LOL well I think that was the point we reached! It felt like something was missing. Previously we didn't want to write cheques with our bodies that our hearts couldn't cash. But now we're secure in where we stand, we can kiss each other.
Having said that...many couples do wait, because for them even a kiss good night can become lust filled and about self gratification!
Every relationship is different. But you'll know if you're doing wrong because you'll lose your peace.

I admire all of you waiting to kiss until married. That takes a lot of control! As for me, me and my SO do have our sweet little kisses, I don't know how I could live without them.
