John Kilpatrick is not a prophet, nor does he claim to be. He is a pastor, and like any other child of God, he has a sphere of influence/authority/operation, and he is eligible to receive revelation for that sphere. It happens that because of the "Father's Day Revival", his sphere is wider than most pastors'. God has chosen this vessel to give this revelation, and he has the ability to reach many people with it. For now I see no reason to discount the message.

What are your thoughts / feelings about this?

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

The Lord of eternity is in a hurry?! :o

An earthquake is coming, (in a known earthquake fault zone) and we're supposed to think God is judging America? No way. Now is the time for mercy that triumphs over judgement.

And if you want to know more about it all and how to prepare, it'll cost you $30.

Hmmmmmm......

If you'd like a different perspective on the Brownsville revival from a man who stands up for holiness and repentance, I would recommend you read some books by Dr. Michael L. Brown.

Here is a video of him:

YouTube - Dr. Michael L. Brown on The American Church

Some books:

Amazon.com: Let No One Deceive You: Michael L. Brown: Books

Amazon.com: Whatever Happened to the Power of God: Michael L. Brown: Books

Dr. Michael L. Brown has blessed me in so many ways. His loving but firm criticisms of the American Church, his work in apologetics to fellow Jewish believers (he is a Jewish Christian), his ministry to homosexuals (in how he stands by what the Bible says on that sin, but believes in the power and love of God to totally change individuals) and his explorations of the Jewish roots of our faith have all greatly enriched my walk. He also believes that these moves of God (such as the Brownsville revival) are not counterfeits, but are real.

I have been through this issue many times on here, though, so I will leave the subject alone. However, I will say that God is fully entitled to knock someone to the floor for hours, or even days, if He so wishes. He can bring us to our knees, crying for hours with sobs of repentance, and He can fill our mouths with joy. His presence is Holy, and He is the creator of the Universe. When the infinite touches the finite, such things can occur.

If you were to read up on accepted and fruitful revivals from hundreds of years back to present, you would see similar physical responses to the Spirit's presence. It is in no way simply a modern thing. Only once in my life have I been unable to stand in the Lord's presence: when I got up, I was convicted of sin and apologized to my father who was present (something I had not done previously) and then I was filled with the joy of the God. I worshipped and understood His grace in a new way that night... I don't know why my body fell to the floor in God's presence, but I know that the fruit was good and gave me a hunger for more of Jesus Christ in my life.

Be blessed. :)

Very cool!
Thankyou.

There is a fact, that the New Madrid Fault is a risk to many people.

A few members of the forum have also had dreams in the last year on this. But being such an obvious well-known potential danger also makes it a good target for shiesters. That does not help us discern whether the prophet is honest or not, but reminds us of hidden dangers like fault lines. No harm done.

If God is asking us to remember that there's a fault line, then it's good to remember it. But are we driven toward God's further direction, or toward a cool story? Or a sure-fire method to hear from God without praying ourselves.

It's not as important to find out if he's a trustworthy man, as it is to find out what God might be saying. Prophecies come and go, but God is always there looking out for us.

Many of us live in a comfortable society. It is almost so comfortable that we are hoping for a little danger to shake things up. But go to a region where Internet videos are a luxury, and you will find people preparing for survival every day, as a normal part of life.

Feed my lambs... do not overlook the widows and orphans... we already have these commands, and many suffer ignored. So, why is the plea to protect Israel suddenly more important than making sure there's justice and equity around us?

I believe there was truth in the message of salvation here but I was disappointed with the prophesy promotional crap. Sorry for the strong language but if it is that important I believe that John could trust God to provide the way to get this message out without cost in our world's media saturated culture. That made it lose credibility big time. gg
The hyped voice promoting the materials is the same we hear over and over. It gets our adrenaline going, and we wonder if there is more to find out.

It disturbed me when the other speaker said, how can you not respond... to the passion within the service. That is what we need to be careful about -- equating passion with correct messages. The song was one that can barely be sung without emotion. It draws people into a more emotional awareness -- good or bad.

4 hours on the floor.....
Why would God do that? He wouldn't.
Scripturally, God would tell someone to lay on their side for a few months. But being nonfunctional for a few hours does not mean it's from God.

The fanatical zealotry evangelicals have for Israel bugs me.
Can you define what points about this spark skepticism? It may seem to be off topic, but it's very much in line with the video message.

If This : Then This

Imagine, for a few seconds, if a corrupt political or economic group wanted to sway a country toward one mindset or viewpoint. How would they reach one of the most vocal voting groups?

I love Israel and it's a miracle that those of a jewish heritage (I am one of them) now have a place to call 'home' again. However, there are evangelicals who in their zeal for the end times and Israel who go a bit far IMO. They are saying that:

A) Jews do not need to be saved they have their own plan of salvation

B) The secular nation of Israel can do no wrong.

C) That those who do not agree with a stance Israel takes are cursed because of this scripture Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." Yet forgetting Abraham was father to many nations (Including the Arabs).

That was about fires and rioting in major cities not an earthquake. I think the implication was that the economic downturn was the catalyst.

David Wilkerson Today: AN URGENT MESSAGE

BTW he isn't selling it either. gg

Well, he doesn't know why there will be food shortages. Let's say there was a devastating earth quake in the center of the country. This would impact a LOT of big cities.

That could potentially disrupt food transportation for weeks since most of our food comes from the midwest. The infrastructure of the midwest would be devastated. First off, the buildings here are not made to deal with earthquakes. The freeways would all crumble. Train tracks would be misaligned. Power could be out for a week or two.

Many financial insitutions, headquarters of large corporations and trucking companies are all based in the midwest. If there are food shortages and who knows what else wouldn't that cause rioting by upset starving people?

Just throwing a scenario out there...
