Yes.

But not necessarily in the areas you express. Mine is more in the areas of a strong willed, masculine Christian male who is willing to embrace the warrior spirit in which he was created. I find too few of these people any more, and see so many Christian men allowing themselves to be trampled and reduced to door mats. I was like that for a long time, but am now 180 from there.

Do you ever get the feeling that you may be a "dying breed"? In other words, do you feel that there are less and less people like you every day, especially when it comes to the search for a relationship, your sexuality, etc.? If you do, how does it affect you?

I don't feel like a "dying breed." I just feel like a...rare specimen; there never were many of us, but we stick around ;)
Mostly I feel this way because I am fairly asexual. I'm not a romantic, and I'm not very interested in sex. My ideal relationship would basically be a girl who would be my permanent roommate, who would cuddle with me when necessary but who would also be independent and we would give each other space. So...uh, yeah. I guess I don't figure I'll find one of those anytime soon.
Doesn't bother me too much because, as I said, I'm not terribly interested in having a relationship.

Yep, I know what you are saying... it affects me in a way that older people wish they would have been me but it sucks because people my age are doing something completely different (and appear to be happy). I don't know... mindless rant... sorry:sorry:

I guess I feel that I am a dying breed. I am a male that has no interest in getting married or having kids and get my satisfaction from working. I don't think it affects me directly. Indirectly yes because I see having a wife and kids as wasting life and I get sometimes get frustrated when people don't see things my way.

nope. it's egotistical to think one is a dying breed as far as i'm concerned. plus, with the amount of people alive on this earth, there is bound to be someone somewhat similiar like yourself.

Well, I am a physicist, a (former?) communist, and an active Christian... there can't be very many like me out there. And that isn't even getting deep into who I am.

Now, I am not at all looking for someone like me to marry.

Yes I do feel like a dying breed. I can't have conversations with alot of people and most of the events I am invited to are too much for me spiritually. I barely date and I am shy. I am very loving so people tend to use me for that I guess. Sometimes its hard for me to realte to how people think because I got by what I read in the bible. So I'm a loner. I will hang out with certain people just to get out. Usually family but I don't even fit in there.

I will go to christian events as much as I can but sometimes I cant relate spiritually.

Why do you think it would be egotistical? I know "dying breed" often has the insinuation that the person saying it thinks they're better than the "average" person, but it doesn't always mean that. And it seems even more appropriate on this forum since those of us having trouble finding someone like us are actually not breeding! (Or I hope we're not!)

And simply because there may be someone else on this planet similar to someone if they searched long enough doesn't automatically have them lose their "dying breed" status. There is more than one giant panda, and they're a dying breed.

Would it be better if I used the term "alienated" instead?

Christianity is actually growing worldwide, is it not?

Anyway, I don't think of myself so much as a "dying breed", but "very eccentric." And eccentricity, while by definition rare, has persisted throughout recorded history and is therefore highly unlikely to vanish anytime soon. Unless we start genetically engineering kids, or something.

I never met anyone who was like me. I have met very very few people who I could relate to.

Are we talking about who we are as far as interests? Or are we talking about spiritually?
