It's an odd one.

NIV Gen 2:19 "Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field"

KJV Gen 2:18-19 "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field"

Don't feel bad. Many times in the Bible, the translators have said, "Hang on, that doesn't quite mesh with what this earlier bit said. So I'll just change this word a little bit and there we go."

It's an odd one.

I remember having a debate with someone on here about the phrase "had formed" vs. "formed". If I remember correctly, it was about the Garden of Eden and whether the Garden was planted before or after the creation of Adam.
