He has not made a full recover,y but he's doing much better than what the doctors expected. Sadly his condition is chronic and will probably never be fully the same as he was before. He can't work, and has trouble walking distances. But time will tell how much that improves. I'm just glad his mind seems fine, and he can exist without being in incredible pain. Before he could hardly talk and not eat. So the little things like that matter a lot too.

My uncle had heart surgery to replace a valve. It went well, praise God. He's in recovery now.

I am thankful for gratitude. I know whenever I feel down in the dumps it's a good time to focus on what I'm grateful for.

Blue Jays, beautiful even though they are jerks.

PewDiePie, he has inspired some to read books. he has made Millions laugh. he even made videos sharing his hardship when one of his houses was broken into and he introduced many to the stoics and to diogenes.

I'm also thankful for any philosophy that is useful. In some ways diogenes was crude but in other ways he was a genius. the stoics saw him as an example and toned him down and perfected their own philosophies.

Creators and all involved in the making of a good show or movie or other entertainment. Have Gun, Will Travel always gives me joy.

I'm thankful that so many family members that could have died so many times are still alive. Cancer and tumors, beatings by cops and criminals, self-destruction by drugs, asthma and other health problems...
