I see it about quite a lot here, and I was wondering if someone could possibly enlighten me as to it's significance.

Sorry if this question seems silly, but I truly have no idea as to it's meaning

I know that Jesus commanded us to forgive others their sins seventy times seven times, but that is 490, and not 777.....hmmmmm, any light that anyone can shed will be very much appreciated

7 is a number that is repeated a lot in the bible, and some consider it to be a "holy number". And when it is mentioned 3 times, I guess it have to do with the trinity.

I also guess it is a way Christians react towards the "666" satanists use. In some way they way to add something "cool" to their faith. Just a theory.

Boeing's new passenger liner (jet) is known as the 777.. Outside of what bellicus said, I found this on Wikipedia..

777 is the first official DVD released by Florida-based Christian band, Underoath. It was released in the United States and other select countries on July 17, 2007 with the intention of having the numbers of its release date coincide with the DVD title. The number 777 was chosen because it is the number of God.

I don't necessary think that 777 is God's number, but i do think alot of people think it is.

Yes, if you are seeing 777 on CF, this is most likely what it refers to.

Ah...that explains a lot...I only asked as there are a few newbies that have 777 after, or part of, their username.

The number seven is a number that indicates the importance of things symbolically and is close to God’s heart.

Throughout the Bible we have: 7 Churches; 7 Stars/Angels; and 7 Lamp stands, which gives the number 777.

Then there are: 7 Horns; 7 Eyes; and 7 Spirits of God, which is the number 777 once again.

Seven is God’s number which is considered the “divine' number”.

We do come across the figure “six”, which is the number of “Man”. “Man” was created on the sixth day and God “rested” on the seventh, which is referred to as the Sabbath in the Old Testament.

So, basically the finite number of God and how HE works and reveals His triune nature is 777 and represents the Holy Trinity of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

666 is a number that reveals the Unholy Trinity of Satan (the anti-Father), the Beast (anti-Christ) and the False Prophet (anti-HS).

Here are some other symbolic calculations.

Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “I am the resurrection”. In Greek, resurrection is written “h anastasiV”, numbering 777 = 8+1+50+1+200+300+1+200+10+6.

In the first verse of the Bible, it is written: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gn 1,1) This verse consists of 7 Hebrew words and 28 letters, and it also counts three names: God, heavens and earth. The sum of the numerical values of each one gives 777: God = 86, paradise = 395 and earth = 296, where 86+395+296 = 777.

Written in Hebrew, “Orthodox Messiah”, gives 777: he, mem, shin, yod, heth, daleth, taw and yod, giving 5+40+300+10+8+4+400+10 = 777.

By using the ASCII table, we find that the French word “EXORCISTES” (exorcists) gives 777.

The numerical value of the Hebrew word NMLA IVMM, meaning “filled with light”, gives 777.

The Occurrence of the number 777 is supposedly appear once in the Bible, and the word priest appeared 777 times in the Bible.

Just take it that “777” means the Triune God our Lord Jesus Christ and “666” means the anti-Christ.

Hi, with me it is a reference to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and like mentioned in an earlier post is used throughout the bible as a reference to God and his perfect nature, 7 is the number of perfection, not that I am perfect (not close..) but the bible teaches that we as believers are endwelled by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, therefore MARK777 is a reference to that, say my spiritual nature.

I beleive that the 666 used by the kingdom of darkness is a like a spin of the perfect nature of God, 6 being the number of man, making man as God, the false trinity, which relates to the flesh, so 777 is also reference to the true trinity and perfect nature of God, relating to the divine spirit of God.

Greater is him that is in us, than him who is in the world, just as 777 is greater than 666, and the spirit is greater than the flesh.
