Not knowing the day nor hour applies to the rapture/resurrection event.

The seven years and projected end, differently, will begin when the Antichrist, as the perceived King of Israel messiah to the Jews, confirms the Mt. Sinai covenant for 7 years. Moses made that requirement of confirming the Mt. Sinai covenant on a 7 year cycle back in Deuteronomy 31:9-13.

Hasn't been done in modern times because the Muslim control the temple mount. And the Mt. Sinai covenant confirms that God gave the land of Israel to the children of Israel as theirs forever. And since Moses required that the reading of the law (the method of confirming the covenant) to the nation of Israel has to be from the place of God's choosing - which the Jews now hold as being the temple mount - the Muslims are never going to let that happen.

So it will have to be after Gog/Magog. And Islam's presence on the temple mount removed.

Also, Moses said the reading of the law to the nation of Israel, when during the year, is to be done on the feast of tabernacles - a fall feast.

So those are some things to look for.
--------------------------------------------------

I think that the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog/Magog event is not too far into the future. What do you think ?
it refers to Matthew 24:29-31 you do not have authority to piecemeal scripture together to cherrypick and put some verses about 1 thing and other verses out of context be about something "different"

First off the audience of the Olivet Discourse was 4 disciples,
The disciples had no conception of the Gentiles being saved. They knew this was the end of an age or era for them. This has a lot of meaning for them at the time. It can be difficult to determine what the meaning is for the end of our age or era. Commonly referred to as the Church age.

Peter had to have it shown to him after the vision which led him to Cornelius.

they had the scriptures, and Isaiah and the prophets told of the salvation of Gentiles and dominion of the entire world that belonged to Messiah. How little they understood of those scriptures notwithstanding, the audience was disciples, not pharisees.

Matthew 24:
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
So, do you then propose, that unbelieving Jews will be hated for Jesus' name's sake?
I mean it could be possible in the sense of Gentile Christians persecuting Jews because they were "Christ killers" throughout the history of the west, possibly, but in the context that these were Jewish Christians being addressed, I do not think that was what Jesus meant.

I was talking about In Acts 10:45 (ESV) "And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles."

In Matthew 15: 24 Jesus said: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

Jesus referred to them as dogs in verse 26 “It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs.”

Yes, they were amazed that the Gentiles could receive the Holy Spirit.
Paul said it was to stir them to jealousy. Romans 11:11

as I said, how little they understood the scriptures, notwithstanding, they had scripture that told them the gentiles would be saved, and Jesus Himself told them it would go to the gentiles as well.

Matthew 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Matthew 28
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mark 13
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

Mark 16
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Luke 24
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Their stubbornness to grasp what Jesus was telling them doesn't mean that Acts 10 is the first they learn of the concept. They were just being wool headed.

Dispensationalism needs to die as a theological system.

There is no "seven year tribulation" in the bible.
The concept of a seven-year tribulation period and the idea of the Church being removed from the Earth before this period, often referred to as the "pre-tribulation rapture," is a theological interpretation held by some Christians, but it is not explicitly detailed in the Bible. Instead, it is based on a combination of passages from different parts of the Bible, which are interpreted to support this view.

The primary biblical passages commonly cited as references for the idea of a seven-year tribulation and the pre-tribulation rapture include:

  1. Daniel 9:27: This verse speaks of a "covenant" being made for one week (interpreted as a seven-year period), and in the middle of the week, "the abomination that causes desolation" occurs. Some interpret this as a future seven-year period, with the assumption that the Church will be removed before it begins.
  2. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: These verses describe the "rapture," where believers are caught up to meet the Lord in the air. While this passage speaks of the gathering of believers, it does not specify when this event occurs in relation to a seven-year tribulation.
  3. Revelation 3:10: In this verse, Jesus speaks to the church in Philadelphia, saying, "I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth." Some interpret this as a promise that the Church will be spared from the tribulation.
  4. Revelation 4:1: In this verse, John is called up to heaven after seeing the letters to the seven churches. Some view this as a symbolic representation of the Church being taken to heaven before the events of tribulation described in later chapters of Revelation.
It's important to note that interpretations of these passages and the concept of a pre-tribulation rapture vary among different Christian denominations and theological traditions. Not all Christians hold this view, and alternative interpretations exist, including the belief in a post-tribulation rapture or other eschatological perspectives.

In summary, the idea of a seven-year tribulation and a pre-tribulation rapture is a theological interpretation derived from various passages in the Bible, but it is not explicitly stated in the Scriptures, leading to differing views on the timing of these events within Christian theology.

The problem is that calling the 70th week - "the tribulation" is that the term is being presented as doctrine.

I agree with you for once. Some dispensationalists have in the past, say I dont believe bible doctrine, or "it is a Baptist doctrine."

1. Fulfilled by Christ.
2. Jesus is descending, and we are going to meet him. He is not going to ascend again.
3. I don't think the scripture ever says "the tribulation" just tribulation or great tribulation. There are more than one of those. And Jesus doesn't promise to keep us from tribulation, in fact he says "In this world you will have tribulation." As could be testified by saints and martyrs throughout the ages, such as those who suffered in the Inquisition, and hundreds of similar cases. In many countries Christian believers are still going through tribulation. The trouble with the feeble Christians of today they think they won't suffer it.
4. Some do and some don't.

I really wonder about that. There are people who lose all they have and it sure looks like great tribulation to me. What future event could be worse than what people are already enduring and going though?

I think everything in the Bible applies to every one of us. If for no other reason than that we are so interconnected with each other and with the universe as well. They call this entanglement.

Physics (Quantum Mechanics): In the context of quantum mechanics, entanglement refers to a phenomenon where two or more particles become correlated in such a way that the state of one particle is dependent on the state of another, even when they are separated by large distances. These particles are said to be "entangled." Changes to the state of one particle instantaneously affect the state of the other particle, regardless of the physical distance between them. This phenomenon is considered one of the fundamental aspects of quantum physics and is often described as "spooky action at a distance."
