I would say that Exodus 20 explains the reason why as creator, and that Deuteronomy 5 explains the reason why according to the authority of the God giving the command. God is saying basically, I saved you to obey me in Deuteronomy 5. So from our perspective him creating and saving us is the reason to observe sabbath. Which makes sabbath that much more important to observe, acknowledges God as not just our creator, but also as our king who rules over our life that he created. Exodus 34 is simply a contextual reiteration of what was already stated in Exodus 20. Trying to dissect them as 3 seperate reasons rather than reiteration of each other seems to be what confuses it contextually.
