• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

1. God is not a robot, He is a person, or three persons: the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit. He discerns our thoughts and the intent of our hearts. Blasphemy comes from the heart. Simply saying something wrong on mistake does not constitute as a sin or blasphemy, as long as your heart is in the right place. He knows what you mean, he knows your intentions. Do not fear! (Easier said than done I know)

2. Prayer helps a lot, particularly praying to the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the good, pure and perfect Spirit of God. It's through Him that Jesus lives in us. Your relationship with the Holy Spirit is very important! I sometimes write emails to the Holy Spirit.

3. Worship God, you can do it through singing songs to His glory and dancing for Him. Here is 10 hours of worship music:

4. Remember Jesus promises from the scriptures! Everyone who the Father draws to Jesus, He will in no wise lose a single one. Jesus always finishes the works He has started in people. No one can snatch you out of the Fathers or Jesus hand. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ALL your sins have been forgiven: past, present and future. IT IS FINISHED!

5. Read or listen to scripture, do at least 10 chapters per day or something like that. You can find free audio bibles at BibleGateway.com. I recommend the King James Version, especially for audio bibles. Or just use a KJV bible app.
BibleGateway.com: A searchable online Bible in over 150 versions and 50 languages.

PS! I literally felt the Holy Spirit while writing this post and listening to some worship music, and started crying tears of joy!

BONUS. If you want to be filled with the Holy Spirit and receive the gift of speaking in tongues, I recommend you try this following video. Just do as she says in the video, it worked for me last year.

This was encouraging to me, thanks so much for posting! One and two in particular are so important, but hard for me to remember sometimes. It's a big help to hear reminders from other people dealing with the same issues

I'm glad you feel God's favor as you write this. I find that posting in this forum helps me feel closer to God and gives me significant relief from my symptoms, as well. :)
