After how many times did Pastor Finley finally tell Gailon that he will not be answering the phone anymore? A. 3, B. 4, C. 5 D. none?"

Here's another "How many times did Gailon call Jim a liar in the space of 15 minutes on the phone? A. 2, B. 3, C. 4, D. none?"

Answer carefully and truthfully, Pickle - I will take their word over yours any day....

I prefer facts over hear-say. It's more work than cut-and-pasting from a web site; but, I find out the truth not someone's "take" on it.

If someone said XYZ event happened, does that mean it happened? If they say XYZ event happened and here's what it means what proof do you have of either claim?

A. Generally there are minutes for business meetings etc.

B. Assumedly there are facts that establish the cause for discipline.

At this point I doubt anyone would say there is if there wasn't.

I doubt it too; but, with some critics you never know!

On the other hand, just because there is a church meeting and there are minutes that doesn't mean that you'll see a hardcopy (or even scanned copy) of them, so you'd end up just relying on what someone said they said.

Major reputable newspapers may quote un-named sources, but they have it in writing and the staff has confirmed it. What we have here is a lot of hear-say without any corrobrating proof whatsoever. Since we do NOT have all the info we need the best thing that should be done is for us to be quiet and let God do His work and we do what He assigned us, eh? We are only hurting God's work do this nonsense. We are not advancing His cause one iota. Satan must be filled with glee watch all these posts flying back and forth.

I have it in writing from the unnamed source, and what I have in writing is freely available. Plus, Danny has confirmed that he ids hiding what he made from the TCTR book until at least after the property case is settled, and that confirms what the insider wrote.

As an outsider that is still hear-say.

For example, just because I say that an oustide unbiased scholar has seen my work on the plagiarism issue and has concluded that EGW was NOt a plagiarist that still leaves you with a whole lot of nothing right?

In this case, I have an unnamed source, who claims X and I have no idea how they would know X, I have no idea if they are even qualified to say X (assuming it takes some skill level), I have no evidence that Danny confirmed anything, (what does TCTR stand for?), from what I do know ab't the publishing industry I really doubt he made boo-koo bucks while other better authors don't. Think about it, does that really make sense? If he made such a great deal of money then wouldn't other better talented and skilled authors (like Dr. Bbacchiocchi) be rolling in the dough, when they aren't?

The difference about the plagiarism question is that that is a judgment call on the part of scholar X, rather than a statement of fact.

Regarding the amount of royalties Danny might have earned, one has to consider that we are talking about 4.8 million copies sold in a single year.

As far as calling me "Pastor," some do and some don't. I think my preference is not, but I tend not to criticize those who do.

It's pretty common within Adventism to call some people pastors who used to pastor even if they don't currently pastor.
